Well, the Ricky Williams comeback was short-lived. 6 carries for 15 yards last night, then left the game with an injury after he was stepped on while on the ground. Today they announced he's out for the season with a torn chest muscle.

When it rains in Dolphinland, it pours!!!!

However, that means nothing compared to the unfortunate and sad death of Washington Redskin player safety Sean Taylor. He was shot by an intruder who entered his home Sunday night or early Monday morning. He was in critical condition as of yesterday and news accounts as of yesterday stated that while he was still in critical condition, he seemed to be improving. I was shocked when I turned on the radio this morning to learn that he died. He had his problems and run ins but he seemed to be getting his life together especially with the birth of his daughter a year ago. So it's a sad day in pro football.

RIP Sean Taylor :(

Unknowledgeable football fan that I am, I still think the Packers are the better team, especially if healthy but injuries are a part of the NFL and scoreboard shows the Cowboys won by 10 so.......

I like the Cowboys.....great offense however that defense leaves a lot to be desired....and the "D" will be the downfall if they face a re-match with the pats in the big game. I see the pats winning by at least 10 if there is a rematch....heck, I'd go as far as 20!!! :D

Looks like the Seahawks are peaking just in time for the playoffs. At least you have something to smile about....my team, the awlfphins, got whacked by a team that is merely 2 games better than them...... :P 0-16 is looking more like reality every day.......:(

The Lions SUCK, bwahahahaha. I was never fooled by their 6-2 start, I kept telling my friends, "just wait". The organization is a joke and a sham from top to bottom, always has been, always will be.

Since there's nothing to care about with the Lions, I'll just keep watching as the two Dream Seasons play themselves out...New England's bid for 16-0, and the Dolphins' bid for 0-16.

I'm referring to Jim Rome's ongoing wish for a team to "run the table in reverse" and have an "0-16 Dream Season". Basically, he thinks it's harder to go 0-16 than to go 16-0, so it's quite an achievement, in a perverse sort of way. The Lions, back in 2001 or 2002 I think, had the best shot at it, but wound up winning their last 2 games. He gripes about it to this day, but thinks the Dolphins have a great shot at it.

I see. Well, the Fish are making it look easy aren't they? They are so gutted physically, mentally, emotionally and their coach looks like the worst rookie coach ever but there's not much you can do when you don't have any talent. Terrible drafts, etc. has taken its toll. I'd hope they'd have some pride to try and win at least one game but against whom? I see no chance for victory on the horizon. I'm a member of online dolphins fan clubs and my fellow club members were so sure that the Fins would win yesterday but I knew better; no matter how good/bad the Jets are throughout the years, they always manage to not only play the Dolphins tough but win many close and memorable games (for them-bitter losses to me....:D)

Two wins in a row for the Raiders, beating AFC West foes. If they can find a way to win against the Pack next Sunday, I might just have to take the paper bag off my head.

:bagoverhead::lol:

The Raiders are looking up. It looks like the Raiders got a winner in Kiffin unlike the Dolphins. Cam Cameron appears lost and he looks like the worst rookie coach ever to take over a team though he comes to a team that's getting old on defense and devoid of talent.

At least you have something to look forward to in 2008; the Dolphins will probably have another coach in 2008 if they go 0-16 which is looking more likely each week.

Yes, The Lord has turned his back on John Kitna and the Detroit Lions. When Kitna and Roy Williams were bragging about getting 10 wins and scoring 35 points every game during training camp, I was thinking to myself, did they realize they were practicing against their own secondary ?

It's tough to lose more than 4 in a row in the NFL, but I'm sure we'll manage. I enjoy reading the sports section more when they lose anyway....

The Lions have lost four straight. They look like they expect to lose the next four, along with their wallets, keys and sense of humor. :D Forward Down the Field Boys !!!

I'm not sure I'd call it "peaking". ..its more like "eeking".

they keep managing to eek out wins, even though they look ugly doing it.

but hey,.. they're in fiorst place in the division, so we'll take those ugly wins. B)

sorry you're having a rough season, MLZ. :(

Perhaps their "eeking" but as long as you said, as long as they're winning....and they know how to win....Seattle is just a season or two removed from playing in the SB....there's probably some championship pride left in this team.

And thanks for the sympathy......though it's painful to see each week, I still root for my awfphins and just hope they have enough pride mixed in with some luck to win at least one game! :D
