Electrophile
Whole Lotta Love. Because I like it.
wendigo
Bring It On Home. Cos it's cool.
dazedcat
Ramble On. I don't know why, it's just always been a favorite of mine along with Heartbreaker.
GetTheLedOut
1. Whole Lotta Love 2. WIAWSNB/BIOH 3. The rest
FourSticks
I voted Whole Lotta Love because its such a classic but if i could have voted for more, Heartbreaker and Thank You would definately be included.
Daniel
That's a tough one! I voted for The Lemon Song because it so clearly shows of each of the boys talents while managing to merge each of the individuals talents into a clear whole. It is playful and then it turns a corner and the intensity grows into a very rough and crisp hard sound. I love all of the corners in the song that seems to be taken at high speed but made into gentle curves. Needless to say the rest of the album rocks too.
pdxjim
BIOH because the of the high energy after the intro. The urgency in Plant's vocals is enough, but Jimmy's guitars riffs finish me off.
analog
Bring It On Home. The first time I heard it I was completely awed. Great song, great intro, awesome riff. Enough said. The Lemon Song is a close second, though. Edited November 24, 2007 by analog
Angel With A Broken Wing
The Lemon Song because it was always good for some "shock value" when introducing to the uninitiated back in the day.
leandar
I'd say probably "Thank You." I've got a real soft spot for Zeppelin's softer side and this is possibly the ultimate love song, at least for me.
TheBulle
The Lemon Song... "squeeze my lemon til the juice runs down my leg..."
leddy
The middle section of WLL is why this is the song fr me, This was the song that turned me onto Zep in the first place...What I want to know is what Page said to Plant at the time of recording the song ?? Well Robert we have a rock riff that is going to change the world but in the middle section I am going to make weird noises and I want you to fake an orgasm !! it still makes me stop and listen to it everytime I hear it. Its from another planet or sphere to come up with that !! Edited November 24, 2007 by leddy
Flipkid
The Lemon Song... because of Jonesey's incredible bass riffs. Plus he and Bonzo laid down a groove a mile deep and five miles wide for Pagey and Robert to play over.
polaris
The Lemon Song... because of Jonesey's incredible bass riffs. Audrey
Heartbreaker because it reminds me of when I was a kid.
The Rover
I vote Heartbreaker. Please reply and give me an explanation to your choice. Ditto, although WLL is very very close... BIOH is very special too !
evilkimevil
I'm the first person to vote for "Moby Dick"! It was not an easy decision. LZ II is one of my favorite records ever. So I just went with my gut instinct. There's no logical explanation.
guitarmy
I had to think long and hard about my favourite song on IV, but as for II, there's no doubt that Whole Lotta Love is the best one here.
guitarmy
BIOH because the of the high energy after the intro. The urgency in Plant's vocals is enough, but Jimmy's guitars riffs finish me off. Yeah I think this song kind of alludes to what is to come in IV. Stairway also starts out slow and explodes, much like Bring It On Home does, except that Stairway is more gradual. led_zeppelin77
ramble on because of the intro.
JTM
The Lemon Song... because of Jonesey's incredible bass riffs. Plus he and Bonzo laid down a groove a mile deep and five miles wide for Pagey and Robert to play over. Yeah. JPJs Bass does it for me.
ledzeprolls
Bring It On Home I love the guitar riff and the scratchy nasal meanderings. Just very bluesy to me. Rolls >>>
juuli
I just had to vote for Moby Dick beacause of the drums! Whenever I watch the DVD and just see him go mad and play it with such passion and such energy then the feeling I get is just...amazing! I've been in love with this song for years. But then again, in the beginning of Bring It On Home Plant plays the harmonica which gives this really really good vibe to the song. And of course Whole Lotta Love.. I mean, it's just brilliant, the whole record.
hentai
thats a hard choice, its not one of my prefered albums. Couldn't decide between WLL which was fantastic when played live but not so interesting on the album in my opinion, and Bring it on home which ive always loved...
