Need I psychiatric help ?

Recommended Posts

I had the luck to be at 02 Arena concert. Since then, I am not able to get rid of listening Led Zeppelin, which I listened daily and I am still euphoric. My wife suggest me to find some help .....

Sometimes people need to come over to the otherside slowly. Try side three of Physical Graffiti. If that doesn't bring her over, you may have partnered poorly.

I'm just kidding! If she doesn't understand why Zeppelin has grabbed you, you might just have to buy some headphones. If she lets you wear them in the dark, you may win her over. B)

You sure aren't alone... I haven't been able to stop listening to them non-stop since the beginning of November and I WASN'T at the show last month!! But I don't plan to stop either... my significant other is learning to just accept the things that he can't change!! :D

This is a problem?!?! What help do you need, more bootlegs? I'm going on 35 years of this with no negative side effects!

You have not given many details about yourself for even a witch doctor to be able to help you!.I can only believe yours is a case of discovery or even re-discovery.

From what I myself was told by the Grey Beards when I was a young man, It is like you have discovered true Rock music for the very first time.It is a very rich brew indeed!.May your new obsession bring you great joy in the decades to come!.

As far as your wife's suggestion goes, you have come to the right place.

We are here to help! (among other things).

I've had the same problem, can't quite stop replaying the gig in my head. One short time cure i discovered last night was watching the new TSRTS DVD which was quite enjoyable. Another good cure I've found is reading stuff on this site. Just get used to being zeppified. For me it started in 1973. . .no real cure, just dig the music and accept it.

Find out what band she really hates and play it over and over. She'll be quite happy to know you've come to your sences when you start playing Zeppelin again.... PS... While doing this... keep a stash of Zep somewhere... withdrawl is a bitch :)

My wife became a 'Zeppelin Widow' during the three months leading up to December 10th.

I would suggest trying to come off the harder stuff by diluting your listening time with some Cream and Hendrix.

Let us remember, people, there are lots of other people out there that also need help...all the Spice Girls fans that have gone into depression since they broke up. Again.

:D:D:D:D:D

  • 3 weeks later...

This is so funny!

If we come to be declared as needing psychiatric help, could we at least ask to form a therapeutic group together? I would love to be with all of you talking about our experiences about listening to Zep and still find it wooooo!!!! I don't find words...aren't they great or what!!!!!

No, I don't think I am sick and I don't think anybody loving Led Zeppelin is...of course, a psychiatric patient often don't know whether he is sick or not  I don't want to be cured!
