Footsteps of Dawn
Haha, at least Alex actually HAS a beard, and not just "Zorro" on his lip like Sid the Kid Molester there. I mean, it's no Zetterbeard, but at least it's there. If you're going to do the "I-can't-grow-a-beard-so-I'll-just-do-some-other-crazy-ass-thing-instead" look, I vote for Jonathan Toews' mutton chops for entertainment value. It's still retarded, but it cracks me up to see Captain Serious with those two big-ass 'burns poking out from under his helmet. Jeez, I know, now that the Habs have beat the Caps AND Pens, and the Wings only won 1 game in their series with the Sharks, I'm beginning to think anything is possible. Come on, Bruins, I don't want to have to see any of those "History Will Be Made" ads with the stinkin' Flyers in them for the rest of the playoffs. Patrycja
Well. It seems my Kreskin powers have been less than amazing this post season. 0-4 Good for Philly (though like Ally, I can't get behind them) but Bruins really blew it. You don't let a team come back from an 0-3 deficit, neither in a series nor a game. With the Leafs' 2nd overall pick they should get a nice young sniper. *sigh* I guess I'm cheering for the Habs now

Shakin' it up a bit! Actually , I'm not too bothered about the Canucks heading for the golf course. The Blackhawks are a better team than us and the series proved it. I'm really looking forward to the Hawks / San Jose series. Definitely the two best teams in the west fighting it out. I suppose I'll have to cheer for the Habs in the eastern final. Halak should be the difference in that one. I will however be cheering for whoever comes out of the west to win the cup....

slagfarmer
Man did the Habs ever take it on the chin last night . The Philly crowd singing was sooo sweet as well. But just remember Montreal has looked down and out in the previous two series. As much as I dislike them they cant be taken lightly. But I will be sticking it to those smug Hab fans tonite at work . Black Dawg
Leighton still perfect after back-to-back shutouts http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=529570 It looks like Leighton has the hot glove between the pipes in the Eastern tilt. Will Halak get back on track?

silvermedalist
Chicago will embarrass the eastern winner. 4 game sweep and some will be blowouts. Are you kidding me? The ratings will be down the drain with 7 and 8 seeds sneaking in on hot goaltending. Boston's collapse will haunt them into next year. They will likely trade Thomas and its going to come back and haunt them. Rask fell apart and Thomas was given up on too quickly. I dont see how they or Montreal can afford to keep two goalies. Price will want out and Thomas is as good as gone I would think. I will never know how they managed to blow that series. I knew it was due to happen, but I didnt think it would have happened here. And Washington and Chicago would have drawn a much higher rating than any we now get. How does Montreal find a way to beat the likes of Washington and Pittsburgh and then get beat so far by the stinking Flyers who got in on a shootout the last day? The Blackhawks were expected to win before the season started and it appears its going to happen. The east has NO CHANCE!!!!!!!

I hope he proves me wrong. I was worried that Halak was having a big hot streak and that it would end eventually, and it kinda seems like it has. I'd love for him to prove me wrong, too, though. The Blackhawks were expected to win before the season started and it appears its going to happen. The east has NO CHANCE!!!!!!! Agreed. Well, I think the Flyers will win a game or maybe even two, but it's pretty much going to be all Chicago. I like the idea of Chi vs. Wash, too...that would've been fun to see. Man, I REALLY wish the Caps had gotten past the first round at least...but only if they'd beat the Pens in the second round. I can't tell you how glad I am that it's official that Crosby won't be holding up the Cup for a second year in a row. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up in the morning and SURPRISE! it was all a dream and the Pens are headed to the Finals. Please let me stay asleep, hehe. I don't know what's up with the Habs...I've been asking myself the same question: how do you beat the Caps AND the Pens, and then fizzle out against the Flyers of all people? I mean, I guess the end of Halak's goaltending streak explains some of it, and Leighton seems to be having his own hot streak, whereas before the Habs only had to deal with Fleury and Varlamov, who obviously weren't at the top of their game at the time. Still, come on, Cammalleri, two shut outs? Really? You can beat Leighton, I know it! I mean, I think it's pretty obvious that the Flyers are going to the Finals at this point (of course, I said the same thing about Boston in the last round after 2 games), but I don't want to see the Habs get swept. ally
Simple answer and the reason we shall win our third Cup: CHRIS PRONGER. GO FLYERS!!! If it turns out to be the Flyers and Hawks in the final, It will be interesting to see if Pronger and the Flyers defence can handle Dustin Byfuglien. Nobody has been able to so far but if they can, then they've got a good chance to pull off an upset.
Footsteps of Dawn
Sweet, Halak looked solid today. I mean, he sure didn't face very many shots, but hey, I'm not complaining! So weird...the Habs were like an entirely different team today. Solid as a frickin' brick wall. I hope they can keep it up...I suppose now the Flyers will rally back and have a much better Game 4, but hopefully this time the Habs have got their number a bit and won't let themselves get flattened. Oh, and yay for finally getting a little action going between the two teams today! The Flyers have been too quiet especially.
