tyedye
I finished reading Led Zeppelin: The Definitive Biography by Ritchie Yorke not long ago, and I must say, it's the best LZ book I've read so far. Which one should I read next and why? Led Zeppelin: A Celebration by Dave Lewis Led Zeppelin: The Final Acclaim by Dave Lewis Led Zeppelin: 1968-1980 by Keith Shadwick

Led Zeppelin: A Celebration by Dave Lewis Led Zeppelin: The Final Acclaim by Dave Lewis Led Zeppelin: 1968-1980 by Keith Shadwick Stairway to Heaven is a good read written by Richard Turbo and Richard Cole. The latter who was Zeps tour manager. He had a insiders view of the band .Its proably closer to truth than Stephen Davis 's Hammer of the Gods which is interesting though i am not sure were the truth starts and the fiction begins. Led Zeppelin: A Celebration by Dave Lewis Led Zeppelin: The Final Acclaim by Dave Lewis Led Zeppelin: 1968-1980 by Keith Shadwick Well, I have read both those Dave Lewis one's and you can't go wrong with either. He has such a passion for the Band and all that they did. ( and are doing!) There is one Dave Lewis one ( I can't remember which, but it has and All red cover) but he give you such a good " Insider's View " of the 1980 Europe tour, it is almost like the reader is there along with him!!! enjoy them all!!!!!! Pb Derigable
How is Led Zeppelin: A Celebration by Dave Lewis diffent from Led Zeppelin: The Final Acclaim by Dave Lewis in whcih i havent heard of or read. There is the Concert Files, which may not give you more info, but it's cool to see how they progresed there live act, which i think Dave Lewis wrote or helped wrote. It's the same size as the Celebration book. plus there is this nugget of info on the web. http://www.oldbuckeye.com/ledzeppelintrivia.html It has a whole bunch of trivia about everthing on the band. It's 100 pages long so online reading is a must.
andyk
The Luis Rey book covering the live concerts with bootleg references is very good, but probably hard to find, any of the Dave Lewis ones are good. The Illustrated Collectors guide by Robert Godwin is a useful guide to bootlegs at least those released until about the mid 1990s. This may be available on CD rom (it was a few years back I think as a revised edition) Led Zeppelin The Press Reports is also quite interesting again I think by Robert Godwin (not sure, as my copy disappeared some time ago). Andy I have to agree here, The Press Reports was a very interesting book. There are tons of interviews in it done by melody maker and others, It was nice to read. I found it refreshing to read truths coming right from the band, then some unauthorized bio crap where you don't know if what the author is writing is fact or fiction. I found mine on ebay.
