Tangerine
As the lucky recipient of two standing tickets does anyone know if there'll be a gold standing area? Some venues do this for crowd safety and are sometimes offered on a first come first served basis. Red Hot Chili Peppers had a gold circle at Earls Court last year but you had to queue early to get in it.
Moon
As the lucky recipient of two standing tickets does anyone know if there'll be a gold standing area? No, there will not be a Gold Circle area. However, the floor area of the venue is not huge, so you'll have a great view from any part of the standing area, as will those seated in the lower tiers (if you're in level 4, you have my sympathy.... bring oxygen and climbing gear). That's good to know actually. I was wondering how early I would have to get there to ensure a decent view in the standing area. Sounds like it's not too bad. PotBound
Someone on another forum had sent an email to the O2 with this question. He posted the email stating NO VIP area on the floor. Woot!
Professor Frink
I've been to the O2 a couple of times - standing area ain't that big - you should be fine wherever you stand. Unless its on your head...

johnny
super-grin on my face since yesterday when I got the email to buy tickets - I thought they'd all gone ! my 'standing' tickets (if I look at the ticketmaster details) say that they are A-type, row 72, seats 9,10 what's that all about ? I was under the impression that the standing are was a free-for-all.

EDIT: Christ, does this mean there gonna put seats in the standing area? Sounds obvious now I think about it.
Professor Frink
I've got standing and mine have 'seat' numbers too. Anyone of those that have been before explain this? Its just Ticketmaster's way of designating the individual tickets, it does not mean anything. They do not make everyone stand in neat little rows on the floor....its is free-for-all general admission.

I guess that means queuing for hours and a mad rush to the front, or take your time and be near the back
