Page Autobiography...Will it happen?

it was the dope that took its toll.

In HIS autobiography 'Bill Graham Presents - My Life In Rock and Out', (Doubleday, 1992) the incomparable rock promoter recounts the tale of their request for him to deliver a $25,000 cash advance on the ill-fated Oakland concerts he was promoting that weekend. Having scurried across downtown San Francisco like Clint Eastwood on a deadline to get it delivered to them at the Hyatt, he was dismayed to see it

immediately given to a drug dealer in the room.

It is highly unlikely a circumstance such as this would ever appear in a Page-written book, despite the seedy undertone it set for their Oakland concerts, their final appearances in the United States.
