Barking and baying up a storm, Uno lived up to his name Tuesday night by becoming the first beagle to win best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club. The nation's new top dog was clearly the fan favorite and drew a standing ovation from the sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden when he was picked. Uno got right into the act, jumping up on handler Aaron Wilkerson and confirming his other title: noisiest in show. Years from now, he'll be known for the "ah-roo" heard 'round the ring. When the 7 group winners came out for the Best In Show judging, when Uno was doing his run around the ring, the audience was standing and cheering, chanting "Uno, Uno"....it was cuter than hell. zosodude13 Posted February 20, 2008 Share Posted February 20, 2008 Nice to know a REAL dog won this year... not some poodle or shit-su (however you spell it) or something that fits in a purse... a REAL dog, a dog you can play with in the backyard... and have play fetch with... a dog who will lick your face... keep it up, westminster! lets see more beagles, german shepards, dalmations and retrievers get best in show!!
