Mrs. Wisty Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 A little while ago I was flicking through the Literature section of my mum's old Arthur Mees Children's Encyclopaedias....and suddenly fell about laughing. Everyone wondered what was so funny about nineteenth-century French writers. It was this: ....Remind you of anyone? And then I found this: And then this, though he actually bears a bit of a resemblance to Bonzo here..... D'you reckon they're related? Quote

Thanks, for that, mrs wisty Aw, but how can you not think his beard was sexy? By the way, I can't find any big enough pictures anywhere, but if anyone watches the BBC show My Family, Alfie reminds me of a lot of photos of Jimmy in a similar vein to this: (Jimmy is of course exponentially better looking, but I still love Alfie) Edited February 23, 2008 by Mrs. Wisty Quote
Mrs. Wisty Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 (edited) Wait, here's Alfie AND he plays guitar: "I'm saving for a new plectrum..." I love him; he's so cute. Edited February 23, 2008 by Mrs. Wisty Quote
AMAZONIC Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Aw, but how can you not think his beard was sexy? I know, Mrs Wisty..he's still sexy because he's just JIMMY, but not my favorite look. Never liked men with a beard. sorry, Quote
Suz Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 All I know is that Jimmy can work a scarf like nobody's business. Quote
aen27 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 All I know is that Jimmy can work a scarf like nobody's business. I love he still wears scarves. He is one of the only guys that still does. It just makes him look hotter -not that he needs any help! Quote

I don't know how he does it, but it always looks great. I can't think of any man I've known who could pull that off. Oh, wait....nope. Quote
zeplinger Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 If Jimmy looks like anyone from the 19th century, he kinda looks like Oscar Wilde. Especially in that Yardbirds era photo where he's wearing all the buttons. Quote
SteveAJones Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I've just posted a link to some recently discovered photos of Jimmy performing in Monticello, Indiana on August 12th 1966 in the photo forum. You can see he's got on at least one of those buttons. I've heard a tour anecdote that he and Jeff Beck were spat upon in Scotland (1966) because they were wearing the German Cross among other pins, buttons and medals. Oh, Jimmy! Quote
