bigzepfan
How the fuck did I not know TCV played NYC??? WTF!!!!! I always thought they skipped NYC when they played that string of east coast shows and I was pissed, I was going to go to Boston but it didn't work out. Wow, I cannot believe I missed this. fuckkkk They played October 15 at the Roseland. It was orignally not on the list of tour dates and then it was added after. The amazing thing was that you could get tix there that night. -sorry, didn't mean to rub. Josh seemed to really get a kick out of the fact that noone knew any of the songs. He made several comments about it during the show. They opened with Elephants. Those were the first notes I ever heard of TCV. What a way to start the show!! No need to worry, they will definitely be back. I plan on catching several of the shows in the Northeast. Hope to see you there!

Any of these punk groups I saw in the 70's, The Dead Boys, The Damned or The Stranglers. 9. Alice Cooper or David Bowie at Madison Square Garden 1973 and 1974 respectively. 10. ocean
Ok i pulled out all my ticket stub books to see where and how "I" felt Gomez ranked. First let me say I,ve seen HUNDREDS of shows....The Grateful Dead for example I've seen more Than 100 times .....I was lucky enough to see Lynard Skynyrd 4 times, The Stones many times, pretty much everyone I ever wanted to see..Jeff Beck with Jan Hammer amazing show..Jeff Beck with SRV....so with that said, I put together my favorite 15 shows of my lifetime!!!!! 1. Led Zeppelin May 26 1977 Capital Centre MD FRONT ROW. My first of four front row shows in a row by the mighty Zep. 2. The Who Aug 6, 1976 Capital Centre 2nd row...with Moon...my hearing has never been the same since. 3. Led Zeppelin May 30,1977 Capital Centre Front Row....The first was the first just for the sheer excitement of seeing Plant inches from me....this one was because the performance was .....well get the boot and see. 4. The Grateful Dead July 13, 1984 Greek Theatre Berkley,CA..this was the boys 15th B-day party. 5. GOMEZ Oct 18, 2004 The Handlebar,Greenville,SC HOLY SHIT!! Really and truely the boys garner the 5th spot on my list!!! What a performance...too bad the sound system was so wimpy there. 6. Roger Waters Sept 12, 1988 McNichols Arena Denver,CO This show blew Pink Floyd away.....I can't believe I just said that in public...but it was one of the best things I've ever seen Roger do. 7. Robert Plant Sept 14,1990 Red Rocks Morrison,CO....I,ve seen Plant SO many times, but this was a very special performance....mind numbing. 8. Queen/Thin Lizzy 1976 Cole Field House University of MD....shitty acoustics.....but phenomenal performance....I saw Queen 4 or 5 times...this was by far the best. Lizzy tore it up as well. 9. Little Feat w/Lowell George....March 78 Warner Theatre DC I was at 7 of the 14 shows...this is where they recorded Waiting For Columbus, so I need to list all 7 shows I saw as #9. 10.GOMEZ Aug 12, 2004 Orange Peel,Asheville,NC....Truely Gomez are in my top 10 shows TWICE!!!!!!! I believe they will keep bustin' my list! 11.Grateful Dead July22, 1984 Ventura<CA...The Dead played on the beach for two days.....we camped and swam in the ocean to the Dead!!! Just pure magic. 12. Yes/Donavan Aug. 16, 1977 Capital Centre MD...great show I got to sit on stage next to Steve Howe for this show..... 13.Talking Heads 1983 Red Rocks,CO...this was incredible....they played Burnin' Down THe House TWICE.... 14.Grateful Dead Dec 31,1983 San Fran Civic Centre....New Years Eve turning 1984......4 shows....so much fun...this show ended at 5:00am with Bill Graham giving ALL in attendance a bagged breakfast of bagel and apple to leave with. 15. Lenny Kravitz Oct 16,1999 ABQ Convention Centre...I can't believe Lenny made it on my list either...but THIS show was stellar. A few recent arrivals...My Morning Jacket @ The Orange Peel.. Jimmy Jam
Well whats your ten overall best concerts you have attended does not have to be just Zeppelin. Heres mine this is not in any sort of order 1.) Led Zeppelin - Baton Rouge 1977 2.) Led Zeppelin - New Orleans 1973 3.) Alvin Lee & Ten Years After with the Outlaws St Benard Civic Center Chalmette La 4.) Edgar winter & Rick Derringer with Ruby Starr & the Grey Ghost plus Thunderhead same as above 5.) Queen - the Forum LA CAL 78 6.) Robert Plant and the Strange Sensations Nashville 2005 Ryman theater 7.) Edgar Winter Ballys casino 1998 during frankenstien he was less than a foot from me .I was at the table in the front of the stage and he came down and played right there to cool . They played two shows that night and guess were i sat for the second show same place. 8.) Page/Plant - Tupelo Mississippi 98 nice venue Met Jimmy and Robert at Elvis home there they bought two elvis t shirts and Jimmy was wearing a straw hat got there autographs did not have my camera with me it was at our hotel . But we told people at the show about it most thought we were full of it .I wonder how they felt after Jimmy came out for the oncore with his straw hat and a black elvis t shirt.Robert wore his black elvis t shirt also. 9.)Lynyrd Skynyrd and Point Blank Warehouse New Orleans 10) The Allman Brothers / Wet Willie 1971 New Orleans Warehouse After seeing the list there are so many more that could go here .Hell theres a whole list of just Zep related shows that could fill this page but i said 10 and did not want to post only Zep shows but i have never been to a bad one yet.My worst Zep show was proably Baton Rouge 75 Roberts voice was not really on that night and the crowd was not as into as some of the shows i went to but that show was still better than any non Zep show on this list.Thats how i roll You saw The Allman Brothers Band with Duane and Berry. He told a tale at the concert about how he met a girl in Columbus that day and how he spent the day touring the town with her (sure, right, Bruce, LOL). Other concerts that I have attended, but not in the top ten: America The Raspberries Johnny Winter ZZ Top in 1974 when the were first becoming popular Poison, Cheap Trick and Def Leppard 2009 Molly Hatchet Marshall Tucker Band Elton John solo (Only with his piano, no supporting band.
