Hi all,

I wonder when Mr.Aaron Lefkove was born? He fails to mention any 50's or 60's -opening riffs,.

These comments:

“Jailbreak” Thin Lizzy Jailbreak—The opening riff of “Jailbreak” is a masterwork of three-chord simplicity. That much is obvious. But when ’70s rock gods Thin Lizzy kicked off their album of the same name they didn’t even need a riff. “

Riffs of all time  But Phil and th lads --don't need no stinkin' riffs! Does this guy proof read his own writing?

With “Wheels of Confusion” Sabbath finally laid the blueprint for what was to become the stoner rock genre. A lumbering painful riff repeated ad nauseam rumbles thick with low-end growl

Stoner rock genre? Then the painful.back-handed compliment? :D

And to think Led Zeppelin would tarnish this reputation as a rock powerhouse with “Stairway to Heaven” a mere two years later.

Wankers!Harlots!Heritics! Yawn,.......can someone give him his meds,PLEASE!

'Rocks off,but best Stones riff? :hysterical:

KB(everyone has an opinion, just state it with resolve and a few other things)

What a wacked out review!!!! I totally agree with you. There are about 3 MAJOR things wrong with this piece of crap review.

1. Black Sabbath. As you say, the idiot reviewer puts this as one of the best opening riffs of all time, and then slams the very same band and the very same song!! Yeah, go back to your meds. And who the Hell chose "Wheels of Confusion" as a Sabbath song with one of their very best opening riffs? Someone who has only listened to one Black Sabbath album, Vol. 4?

There are heaps of Sabbath songs with far more famous and iconic opening riffs. What about stating the frigging obvious? "Paranoid" , "Iron Man", "NIB" or "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath?" You also have such gems as "Symptoms of the Universe". Gosh, what an idiot. I mean, "Wheels of Confusion", you dumbass, doesn't even open with a riff!! Dopey, it opens with a solo!

For the love of Pete.

2. Led Zeppelin. What sort of idiot says that "Stairway to Heaven" ruined their reputation as hard rockers??? Enough said, this person has no crediblity whatsoever.

3. What about other famous iconic songs with legendary opening riffs that are not on the list and should bloody be? Hello!! What about Deep Purple's, "Smoke on the Water?" Most probably this dummy hasn't even heard of it. Or what about AC/DC's "It's a long way to the Top" or "Back in Black" or "Highway to Hell?"

*shakes head*......Some people are just not all there, are they?
