Biff
I want some kicking Blu-Ray in high resolution. I want some reissues with dynamic range. Seems like I listen to other music, then put on the Zep, and its just kinda flat or muffled. After a few songs, you have adapted, but I want more punch! Yaahoo! chef free
5.1 sounds great at lower volumes but... I have never heard a 5.1 mix that sounded better than stereo at high volume. When I blast the DVD I always end up switching it to 2.0. Same with the Hendrix and Allmans DVDs. It just sounds louder and clearer.
daisy may
I'd rather have a new DVD or a brand new CD than remixed albums, I already have those and I'd just feel guilty at the waste of money if I bought them. I don't think we'd ever see bonus tracks on any of the studio albums, Page has made it quite clear that there's pretty much nothing left in terms of back catalog and outtakes, plus I think they'd find it insulting to the original album, for the same reasons they were reluctant to release singles. All I want is a new video or a new live album (with no editing please!) we all know there's still some live tapes in the vault, it would seem crazy for there not to be... I'd much rather have a DVD of the O2 Arena concert, or new material that they may be working on. But........................... there are those of us who are collectors. And we want EVERYTHING. Even if we already have it on CD.
Olipticle
As much as a 5.1 would be sick, im more so hoping for something new but still in that format. With the show still yet to be released it would be nice if they got it to a polish before releasing or enough of a polish with out taking out any raw power the show had. All and All i think we are all just hurting for them to release anything new.

SuperDave
There is a bootleg one out, ive seen it at the local music store, i think its call celebration day 40th, its werid come with like a mini book There have been many of these over the years. Since these producers of these don't have the rights to use their music it's just recycled interview material. Nothing to get excited about I'm sure. SuperDave
I was pretty certain about that. If it was something special then you'd have heard more about it.
pinky
I think re-issuing anything is a trrible idea as we have already had The Re-Masters, combined both boxed sets have all the studio albums with a few extras, Early Days and Latter Days, and Mothership. So I give thumbbs down to a re-release how about The o2 DVD, or something live, I know the entire 1980 tour was recorded except for two shows and the first four songs from two nights, and the last show with Bonzo was fully recorded. I could go on all day of what should be released.
Olipticle
lol very true but hopfully they will include all these in any new dvds they choose to put out. Id love to see all the stuff we havent been a ble to for years i think it would make quite the interesting dvd. + they gotta include rehursals from the 02 that would be sick

We've never have the 5.1 albums, full with outtakes, alternate versions, Sessions, live cuts, etc, etc. Besides the 1980 tour was crap, frankly In that case, give me Japan 1971 or LA Forum 1977 Can't wait for the 40th anniversary catalog! Having 5.1 sound would be pretty intense, even though we've had all the remastered cds over the years with the boxed sets, complete collection (forgot the name) and the newly released cardboard cd sleeves. I would only buy this if there were outtakes, demos etc. Wouldn't be worth it to me, since the studio cds I have sound great as it is.
Zeppelin Heaven
A DTS 5.1 mix for all for the entire catalog would be awesome! Put it out now I will pay top dollar!

Zephyrus
while the 5.1 would be awesome, I'd rather buy something from LZ that I don't already own. there's tons of bootlegs, why can't they just clean some of those up and sell them? though a 5.1 LZ catalog would be a good excuse to buy a surround sound system... Mr.Kite
It would be great with bonus tracks, made by alternate takes, live versions. It would be very great. By the time... Why not?

Because Jimmy as much of a perfectionist there is, believes using shows that were recorded with multi-tracks. I wouldn't mind cleaned up bootlegs. That would be more in line with the Grateful Dead's Dick's Picks.
Zeppelin Heaven
We live in the age of high definition (bluray) and still can't believe something like the Zeppelin catalog isn't remixed and remastered in discrete surround sound! The ideas I have in my head where the instruments will surround the person, immersing them into the heavens....possibilities are endless!!!!!! I want to hear Ten Years Gone, All My love, The Rover, etc. remastered before I die dammit!
ponkine
So, it's March 2009 and we still have no news So far, it's just a rumor originated (I think) @ the stevehoffman forum
sailor86
Pink Floyd is a band made for 5.1. Pink Floyd music i think is more cerebal,(I'm not saying zep isn't cerebal) Zeppelin music punches you in the stomach every time you hear it. So the power should come from straight forward. No Quarter may sound good in 5.1. but i rather have vinyl reissues. I have an DTS LZIV. Which sounds really good for a few songs. But if you put a better bit-rate with the 5.1 version I'm up for that. Generally they come with a 2ch down mix. My dream is getting the music in a way so you can drop the tracks so you can just hear the Guitars or Drums or Bass or Ect... Just like if you were sitting at the studio when they were mixing it. That would be cool. What type of software allows for singling out individual tracks? Besides a mixing board.
IanA
Audacity seems the preferred one by lots of people, and it's free. I've played back 24 tracks in it, with no problems. You can download Audacity at ; http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ What type of software allows for singling out individual tracks? Besides a mixing board.
