Jarlaxle 56 Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 I just recently got into this band, I will hopefully be seeing them play at a small venue in Toronto on May 24th. I was wondering if there were any other fans of them here? They are a Progressive Metal band, they alternate between very loud sections with the singer "growling" and very mellow acoustic pieces where he sings clearly (and has a beautiful singing voice). Victor Posted March 19, 2008 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Opeth are one of the few 'recent' (when your talking last 40 years) bands that I really like, they put into one 10 minute track what most bands cant manage in a whole album.
