For purposes of brevity, I'll answer within the realm of British Invasion rockers:

  • Sgt. Pepper's L.H.C. Band - The Beatles
  • Street Fighting Man - Rolling Stones
  • Baba O'Reilly - The Who
  • Tell the Truth - Derek & the Dominoes
  • All Day and All of the Night - The Kinks
  • Astronomy Domine - Pink Floyd
  • Hurdy Gurdy Man - Donovan (backed by Page, Jones, and Bonham)
  • Stay With Me - the Faces
  • All Right Now - Free
  • Feel Like Making Love - Bad Co.
  • Can't Find My Way Home - Blind Faith
  • Feelin' Alright - Traffic

Responding to the above post. I loved that movie Clock work Orange.

Interesting that you mention that because, as you know, excerpts of Ludwig van Beethoven's grand Symphony No. 9, Op.125 "Choral" (click for sound-bytes) are prominently featured throughout the film. You owe it to yourself to procure a copy of it in its entirety for your collection.

I don't know who the conductor/orchestra it was on the soundtrack but, for interested parties, I highly recommend HERBERT VON KARAJAN & the Berlin Philharmonic for a particularly rousing and inspiring version for goose-bumps and back of neck-hair to stand at attention.

If you're a music lover like me, you'll get the other 8 symphonies, as well as the various concertos, quartets, trios, sonatas, overtures, etc. Then, maybe, some Mozart, Bach, Haydn, Handel, Rossini, and their contemporaries.

And, of course, that music makes me smile big time :D

It doesn't play very often any more, but when it does - I get very excited. The song is "Need You Tonight" by INXS off the cd "Kick" - I really will miss Michael H. I kept a couple of his pics on a section on my MySpace page called "Gone But Not Forgotten" as a Remembrance and the song is featured on my playlist there as well. It's very 80s, but he had a real gift.
