Suz
Keep that shit out of this thread, you simple-minded bigot. P.S.: Sunray, don't listen to that fool. Ditto, times a thousand. Enough is enough. ENOUGH.

Virginia
Maybe you girls can help me out here, there is a fast spreading rumour that i am gay,how do i convince people that i'm not?I've got to convince the female population of Cork that i'm straight? I would second the advice to really just be yourself, be confident, and don't worry about what others think. The confidence is key.

Electrophile
Those are gorgeous Electrophile. Are they Christian Louboutin's? Yep. I want a pair of Louboutin's so badly. They're hella expensive, but they'd be worth it.

If I had a pair, I'd wear them until I was 90. I could be in a wheelchair, but I'd have those shoes on!

Thankfully he makes low-heeled shoes along with the super-high heels, so there's something for me to be comfortable in. Although I'd wear the stilettos just to say that I had them. As my sister likes to say, those shoes are for sitting and being seen, not walking around. Just make sure people can see the red sole. Electrophile
What's your favorite brand of makeup? I am partial to some of what Sephora makes, especially when it comes to skincare products. I use a lot of MAC cosmetics, though....they make amazing lip glosses and eye shadows. This is a smattering of what I own: http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/prod...SKU_ID=SKU26977 http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/prod...SKU_ID=SKU26972 http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/prod...?SKU_ID=SKU4868 http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/prod...?SKU_ID=SKU4751 http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/prod...SKU_ID=SKU17098 http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/prod...SKU_ID=SKU27094

Electrophile
Don't feel bad.....I work at Macy's and we sell MAC cosmetics, so I get employee discounts up the wazoo. That's the only way I can afford it. I do have some Covergirl stuff....mostly pressed powders and eyeliner. I've found I like those better than what MAC makes. Suz
That Mac is some beautiful stuff. I hardly ever wear foundation. I wear mascara and blush, but if I'm going out somewhere, I'll wear eyeshadow and eyeliner, too. When I was a teenager, I used to put the eyeliner right up next to my eye. I'm afraid of poking myself in the eye, now.

I pull the bottom eyelid down and rim the eye with it, so that the eyeliner isn't beneath the lashes, but above them. I wear it heavy too, but only because I wear glasses and if I'm going to put the damn stuff on, I want people to be able to see it.
DRUNK
I have come to respect women much more as I get older. Women generally get fucked up by men. It is extremely unfortunate. Yes, they can be crazy sometimes, mostly based off hormonal instability, if we discount the fucked up by men factor, but women are generally good. I have grown to appreciate women much more. I understand them much more, and I feel bad for them a lot of times.
Footsteps of Dawn
Uh, can anyone recommend someplace a little more upscale than Bed, Bath, & Beyond for curtains and comforter/sheet sets? Somewhere not too overly modern, like Ikea, if you'd be so kind. Ikea's great as long as your house was built from the 1950s onward, but the whole Danish Modern thing doesn't really work out so good with a Spanish Revival house, as I found out the last time I did this. My walls are kind of this peachy cream color, and I currently have turquoise curtains and a green and blue comforter cover. Yeesh...oh well, I was 14 when I got those, and I wasn't exactly taking things like that into consideration then.
manderlyh
I look at www.macy's.com for stuff a lot. I actually have a really, really tough time with home decor now a-days... I noticed that I became really picky one day...

I noticed that I became really picky one day... Ah cool, thanks! Yeah, that kind of happened to me, too. All of the sudden I looked at my room and went, "Oh no, this is sooo not working. When did I acquire so many cool-colored things, and why?" It never bothered me until that moment! And it is kind of hard to find stuff...it's either really flowery foo foo stuff, or else that ultra-modern, lots of browns and earthtones look. I just need simple and traditional! manderlyh
LOL I wish I was "allowed" to paint. Our walls look dingy becuase whoever painted them last did a crappy job. Dave freaks out and gets al weird every single time I mention "adding color" to the walls... sigh.... that was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to buy a nice house... ledded1
I was browsing to see what women talk about and found that yes its still shoes But comnig across icanquitoyoubabes inane racist homophobic stuff was somewhat of a shock. So to ican'tquityoubabe I say this; Your comments are a disgrace and your insulting behaviour towards sunray is despicable to say the least. An abject and full apology would help but wouldnt go far enough if these really are your views on muslims, especially one who is on this board and to someone who has done absolutely nothing to deserve such comments. You are not a good advert for a tolerant white christian society are you!! You are a disgrace. Perhaps you should change your name to Icanquityoubabe as in quitting this place. Those views are not wanted around here. Sorry ladies, you can go back to the shoe discussion now.

Virginia
I will own these one day......oh yes....oh yes. Those are really nice! I never really mastered walking gracefully in higher heels I'm afraid; I usually stick with loafers or a 1" heel for work/going out; flip-flops/sandals in the summer or Land's End pull-ons in the colder months for weekends. Virginia
What's your favorite brand of makeup? I am partial to some of what Sephora makes, especially when it comes to skincare products. I use mostly Clinique products, but I actually like Cover Girl's CG Smoother foundation the best, because it's light. Even though I try other brands, I always go back to Maybelline Great Lash mascara. My favorite moisturizer though is Aveeno; it has sunscreen and soy in it. Hair stuff: I love Phyto Defrissant, especially in the summer, when the humidity poofs my hair. My hair is really prone to being dry, since it's colored, so I use lots of conditioner; and usually let it air dry (I put some product in, comb it into place and run). The Frederic Fekkai glossing creme is also wonderful; but that and the Phyto are so expensive I generally just do the Phyto.
Alessandra
To tell the truth I really don't wear make up. I only use Vaseline Petroleum Jelly for my lips
