What a stupid post. Middle aged men in a large corporate arena will behave exactly as they normally do. There will be no riots. Besides, non ticket holders won't be able to get anywhere near the arena itself, which is inside the inner section, which cannot be accessed without a ticket. There are 'turnstile' like narrow entry points which are well staffed, and then further entry points into the arena once you are inside the inner section.

...you're kidding - right? Middle aged men in a large coporate arena? This isn't an E2 Summit - it's f'n ZEPPELIN! I'm a "middle-aged" guy and if I had a ticket I'd be going f'n bonkers - F**& the coporate thing!

Don't kid yourselves - EVERY walk and form of life will be there wanting their piece of history - and doing it as they see fit.

The majority of people who like LZ ARE middle aged or older, closer to pensionable age even. an old friend of mines dad was into them years ago, im talking late 70s. He was about the same age as my dad so he'll be about 80 now. So i reckon all you young'uns are in the minority ( exept on this board ). BTW i'm getting on for 51.

Im glad someone created this thread as I was thinking of starting a similar one myself. Im thinking of travelling down on the 10th (if im not working that night) regardless of tickets. Where theres a will theres a way. If there are any other people thinking the same message and we can meet up.

Mark.

London was still there in the morning in '68, '69, '70, '71, '72, '75, 84', '88, '90, '95, '98',

'02, '05' among other years during the Led Zeppelin era. O2 is semi-moated and if you

ain't got a wristband you ain't gettin in to the show, which to quell the hype is now being billed as:

Page & Plant with A Different Drummer and Bassist.

I was'nt suggesting that those attending would not be excited/into it, but any talk of people rioting/rushing the gates etc is daft. There may be the odd idiot, but if you ain't got a ticket you ain't going to get anywhere near the inside of the arena, and I think most rational minded people will have accepted that.

You guys are probably right - I'm WAY off base here. Afterall, things are different in the U.K. - people are more refined, level-headed, and will act appropriately at the upcoming Super-Gig.

Here in the U.S. , we riot for Dave Matthews Band Tickets...

Steve, I respect you as a truly knowledgeable Led Zeppelin fan, but really, the dam is ready to burst, quelling the hype at this point? People have given up their lifetime savings, done immoral things, sold their grandmothers to attend this show - it could be billed as "Corn and the 3 Cobs" and people would still go!

It's way too late to quell - anything.

I'm not being dismissive, just trying to inject a little perspective for those who seem

to think the world's going to be knocked off it's axis. People knocked off their asses,

sure.

Wow, the exact opposite appears to be true regarding the age range of those who inhabit these sites. Many of them, anyway. (Which is good--new generation of fans proves the band's longevity.)

I remember riots outside when they were just SELLING the tickets, people, kind "loving" hippies and all crashed through glass and steel doors.

One can never underestimate the power of people in vast crazed mode.

I looked at the arena on google earth, not too many places to herd the crowds, but into the river!

If I lived there, I'd go, regardless.

I also remember many times going to an arena without a ticket and being given tickets by different types of people.

I could NOT sit home while they were playing if I lived in London.....no way.

I do believe they better be careful or a huge riot Could happen.

Not everyone is sweet and kind these days.

The World will be a different place for me after this show. It will be something that I've looked for, but had little or no chance to witness. Even with my position in life, I couldn't buy the time to go. I have the money and the desire, but life, sometimes, interferes!

I've waited 30 years! I had tickets in '77 and couldn't go... another sad story (I was sooooo sure that they would be back).

I've seen Page and Plant And Jones in different situations, but never seen "Led Zeppelin". This is the best that the World, as it is, will ever witness and my World WILL PAUSE, just for a moment on December 10th.

I guess, on topic, that the next best thing would be to hang out in London on December 10th. I just can't be that close and not be inside!! It would be pure torture!

I'm glad for you that are attending and look forward to your reviews of the show!

Led Zeppelin: The Best of Live? Wow, I've never heard of this? What is it? Is it on DVD?

No, it seems like it's a NEW compilation movie of their best Live shows..unless it's the LZ DVD best of that was shown at the Premiers in 2003...doubt it though.

This Zeppelin Live 2 hour "Best Of" Is Just an edited version of the 2003 DVD of the same Live footage we all have already seen. Just cut down and fit into a 2 hour time window. It aired commercial free on VH1 Classic, back on Nov. 10th. Sorry , but it's nothing new.

Just visited the O2 and spoke to security.

The venue is soundproofed.... they said the music can't be heard outside in the public areas.

And anyoune that appears to be loitering (i.e. not heading to/from a restaurant/bar or cinema), will be escorted outside

I agree, up until 2 days ago I was one of those people who was going to be in the area that night , just to be there as i couldn't sit at home !! then 48 hrs ago my world changed and was offered to go to the gig and have a ticket at face value, this person on this forum is a real star for giving me the opportunity to realise a dream...Thanks mate !!

To the people who still will be up there and without a ticket, I do really feel for you as I was in the same boat only 48 hrs ago, I hope we can still meet and have a beer to celebrate the night as I was going to do before my lottery came in with the jackpot !!!
