One helluva awesome 45:

Elmore James -

/
(Enjoy 1965)

This single was released a couple of years after the death of Elmore James. This version of Elmore's Dust My Broom is the most famous version, recorded for Bobby Robinson of the Fire/Enjoy label . Everyday I Have The Blues was recorded in Feb '63 on what was to be Elmore's last recording session.

the 2009 salvo remaster of this breathtakingly stunning album. But then I found out that the whole thing has been mastered too fast. So the pitch of all the songs are higher then they're supposed to be, That is annoying.

Other purchases I made recently

WTF?? It oughta be a law against doing anything like that to an album!!

Otherwise, that is a truly great album. Look for the original vinyl, shouldn't be too expensive on eBay.

Four 45's:

Jerry McCain & His Upstarts - Courtin' In A Cadillac /

(Excello 1956)

This is rough, cool r'n'b/blues!

Bo Diddley - Bo Diddley / I'm A Man (Checker 1955)

The classic debut single by Bo Diddley, quite a remarkable two-sider!!

The Pearls - I Sure Need You / Your Cheatin' Heart(Onyx 1957)

Third single from this vocal group out of Detroit. Swingin' stuff with a version of Hank Williams' classic on the B-side!!

The Only Onz - When Teardrops Fall / On The Road Again (Time Records Inc. 1966-67?)

Cool garage rock from Illinois. "Teardrops" starts pretty slow but turns into a "Louie Louie" kinda rocker! Cool stuff!
