Schoolkids Records had a sale on used CDs over the weekend, which included the new one from Lucinda. The copy I have is a promo version of the deluxe edition and has a different cover than the one depicted above. I'm aware that there are as many as eight different covers for this record but the one I have isn't even available on Amazon, probably because of the promo aspect.

One of our local Borders just marked everything down to 50% off in their going out of business sale. Most everything is gone but I still managed to scrape up a few finds.

Graveyard's second kickass album "Hisingen Blues"

graveyardalbum.jpg

Like Rock N' Rollin' Man very very rightly pointed out, this album is indeed a monster! Well worth the wait!

The sad thing is, the fact that I have it in the form of itunes downloads this time! :( My fuckin' local record store hasn't got the CD version yet! Those idiots said that it might take 3 to 4 months or even more!!! Hell!! I can't wait that long! :wall:

Anyway, it was sure worth the NZ $ 18! Highly recommended for fans of the debut album and of course for the newbies, just getting into "Graveyard" B)

Well, it's better to have it on itunes than no copy at all. ;) I have a vinyl copy coming in the mail soon, and I know I am a lucky bastard.

LOL! Well, you're certainly lucky! B) But a bastard?! No way!! ;) In fact, the only ones who have been perfect bastards at this point are the fuckers at the record store who told me that it's going to take months before "Hisingen Blues" actually arrives. Well, those pricks have certainly lost a customer because of their lazy attitude! Besides, I saved NZ $ 6, thanks to itunes! :P

Picked these up at a record show yesterday, all on CD. While it was a great show (as usual) the only real find was Boylan Heights. The Connells finally re-released all of their albums last year but only as mp3's. I've been told they're also going to be re-released on CD via Rykodisc but something tells me that's not actually ever going to happen.

Well, on the 7th of April, 2011, I achieved a pretty cool milestone. I was actually at my very first job. I was offered a postion of mid-term test supervisor for the 2nd year undergraduate kiddies at my University and I was paid a pretty impressive NZ $ 60 for the day's work! B) I decided to blow up NZ $ 16.32, on this beauty, right here :

Being a 60's Garage Rock freak (as you guys already know :P), I couldn't fuckin' help myself! B)

Vinyl or the box set on CD (which I think comes with some extras that weren't part of the original vinyl package)?

Picked this up last night during the CD release show for it at Jessee's Coffee & Bar in Carrboro, NC:

large.jpg

The night started with Jeffery Dean Foster (The Pinetops, The Right Profile) playing his opening set outdoors but an impending rainstorm meant the proceedings needed to move inside. Outdoors was great but once things went inside out of the rain it just pumped everything up another notch for Lynn Blakey's set. Here's a video clip of her performing "River" from the new EP accompanied by Jeffery Dean Foster and her husband Ecki Heins:

It's too late to edit my previous post in this thread but I'd like to add that in addition to Oh OK, Lynn Blakey was in Let's Active for a while as well:

Well, I didn't order the entire box set with volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4. What I ordered, is the CD version of volume 1 (what actually was the original vinyl package without the extras) containing the following tracks :

Track Listings

1. I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) - Electric Prunes

2. Dirty Water - Standells

3. Night Time - Strangeloves

4. Lies - Knickerbockers

5. Respect - Vagrants

6. Public Execution - Mouse

7. No Time Like The Right Time - Blues Project

8. Oh Yeah - Shadows Of Knight

9. Pushin' Too Hard - Seeds

10. Moulty - Barbarians

11. Don't Look Back - Remains

12. Invitation To Cry - Magicians

13. Liar Liar - Castaways

14. You're Gonna Miss Me - 13th Floor Elevators

15. Psychotic Reaction - Count Five

16. Hey Joe - Leaves

17. Just Like Romeo And Juliet - Michael & The Messengers

18. Sugar And Spice - Cryan' Shames

19. Baby Please Don't Go - Amboy Dukes

20. Tobacco Road - Blues Magoos

Apparently, the original contained 27 tracks? I guess 7 are missing in the CD what I ordered?

But anyway, I was really stunned to find this for just $ 16 honestly :)
