Okay, so the title says it all, which one is better, i have a 30 watt jtm45, but i cant turn it all the way up to get overdrive without it killing me, so, which one would work better?

The PPIMV master volume is alot cheaper, but the ultimate attenuator seems like it may be a better choice. So please, share your comments.

Not 5 minutes ago I was reading about the ultimate attenuator on the Les Paul Forum.

Some respected folk, with very respected ears, (& even more respected gear to test it all with) are saying that it's the best yet. Guys who have tried all the others & thrown them all away are shouting about this one from the rooftops.

Looks like that's the one to get, then. ;)

...but thats just out of other attenuators, how does it compare with a post phase inverter master volume (PPIMV)? its different than a standard master volume(For the better), and is alot cheaper than a UA. Im thinkin about getting a UA for my future 50 watt 1987x (or 30 watt jtm 45); but i might decide to get a PPIMV installed.

Sorry - I wasn't clear. In the thread I was refering to they were comparing the UA to everything, not just other attenuators. So they were including master volumes, power scaling etc etc. There didn't seens to be any stone left un-turned.

If you still know it, could you please give me the link to that article. Thanks.
