Jahfin Posted April 18, 2008 Share Posted April 18, 2008 Unless you're a fan of Emmylou Harris, alternative country and/or have seen the CMT Crossroads special with Plant/Krauss you probably haven't heard of Buddy Miller. In any event, he was named No Depression magazine's Artist of the Decade and is featured in the final issue which should be hitting newsstands any day now. In the interview he relates how he met Plant at an Emmylou show and how he came to play in Plant & Krauss' backing band. I first saw him at MerleFest in North Wilkesboro, NC (which is next weekend, by the way) in Emmylou's band Spyboy. I also like what I've heard of his solo work (and the Crossroads special) but have yet to pick up any of his records. I'm quite anxious to see Plant, Krauss, Buddy and band when they hit the RBC Center in Raleigh this summer.
