SIBLY
If Plant gets his way then they won't. He thinks it's a song of it's time and the lyric is a bit 'flowery' for this day and age. I tend to agree - it isn't one of my band favourites, although the music / guitar solo still stands up to scrutiny. A LZ gig without it would be incomplete though, wouldn't it? As RP wrote it but doesn't particularly like the lyrics anymore perhaps he should rewrite them for the 21st century.

SIBLY
you know the anwser, and its "they will if they want to." Yes, but what happens when one does want to play it and another one doesn't? Perhaps JPJ will have a casting vote! We don't need any discord in their ranks as we're all hoping the O2 goes brilliantly and they extend the reunion past one gig..
bigstickbonzo
does shit stink?
valleygirl
call me old fashioned but I think they should
lombar43
Jason Bonham got quoted in Guitar World that that is one of the songs that they'll be playing.

jcm
I would be amazed if they missed this song out. The Earls Court performance in 1975 was absolutely brilliant - look it up on the LZ double DVD disc if you have not seen it. John
Bilbo the Rover
I'd have to say yes, and not because they'll have to twist Robert's are (ridiculous). IMO they will do it for the ages, I wish I was there to see it happen.
Gr3ll
I would imagine they'd play it, it is a staple. Regards, Grell
hot dog
JPJ pretty much confirmed they'd be doing it in this months's 'Mojo' magazine: Mojo: Will Robert's bete noir, Stairway to Heaven, be omitted from the set? JPJ: No, I think that could well be included, haha.
Electrophile
That would be like (what's left of them) The Doors not doing Light My Fire or LA Woman. I'm certain they'll play it.
ledbagelz
call me old fashioned but I think they should of cause they will
The 4 Runes
If Plant doesn't want to sing it then they should let the audience do it for him.
irg82
Of course they'll play it. They need to. The corporate assholes with free tickets will only know that one song by them. Edited November 20, 2007 by irg82
Fool in the Rain
I seriously doubt that they will. I think they are going to dig deep into the catalog and blow us all away with an incredible setlist. If I were to bet I would say no, they won't do it. Robert has stood by his guns this long. Why would he change now. Also, the song that they have never performed.... It will be In The Light. JPJ and Percy have always wanted to perform that song and they were restricted by the technology of the times... You heard it here first!!!!
THE NEW YARDBIRDS
I THINK THEY SHOULD OPEN WITH {IN THE LIGHT.} THAT WOULD BE SO COOL. JPJ'S ORGAN IN THE OPENING MOMENTS WOULD GET THE CROWD PUMPED UP.
Audrey
That would be like (what's left of them) The Doors not doing Light My Fire or LA Woman. I'm certain they'll play it. Yep. What she said.

kirchzep27
It will definately be great to hear it live, after all the positive feedback coming from -page, jones and jason lately.

NickZepp
It'll be played. It's probably the most known song by Zeppelin.
