I'm a Liberal-leaning Centrist......Your views call for roughly same amount of goverment and liberty that we have today, with a bit more personal liberty and more government involvement in the economy.

It appears that you are relatively happy with the status quo, though you probably want a few more Democrats in office. Approximately 9% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 36% for all within the centrist circle.

That seems about right.

Well it says I'm an Economic Liberal

"You want government out of your personal life, at least to some degree. But you want more government in your economic life. Politically, you appear to be a solid Democrat, though you might also find the Green Party appealing.

Approximately 3% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 18% for all liberals outside the centrist circle"

You desire substantially less government control of economic activity and somewhat less government control over personal activity than is presently the case in the U.S. I used to classify this area as part of “Moderate Libertarian” but got many objections; I guess calling you a moderate libertarian is akin to calling a liberal Democrat a “Moderate Communist.”

Your views would be best represented by a mix of Libertarian and Republican representatives—assuming that it was possible to get a significant number of Libertarians elected. The Libertarian Party is still dominated by people far more radical than you though there is an ongoing effort to make the LP more inclusive and less radical. If you have the patience and willingness do deal with infighting, you may want to join this effort. Or, you might find my proposed new party more to your liking.

Approximately 8% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area.

Social Liberal

You want government out of people's personal lives, but you appear to desire some continued government control over people's economic activities. There is no political party that represents your views. The Green Party does run many candidates with similar views, but the overall Green Party platform is much more socialistic than you are. You would need a mix of Democratic, Green, and Libertarian politicians in office to get the balance of freedom and social justice you desire. The ratio between these depends on how high up your dot is on the chart.

radical libertarian

You like your government very, very small—or none at all. You are a hardcore libertarian. Want to run for Congress? State legislature? Join the Libertarian Party and they'll put you on the ballot. The Libertarian Party wins few partisan offices, but it does get the message out sometimes. And it does win some non-partisan races.

Approximately 9% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 31% for all libertarians outside the centrist circle.

I am a smaller government centrist. My dot leans just a little to the left.

"Your views call roughly the same amount of government with just a bit more liberty than we currently have in the United States today. Your views are probably best served by a nearly equal mix of Democrats and Republicans in the legislatures, as long as you choose the correct Democrats and Republicans.

Or, if you want to make sure government shrinks a bit, you could throw a few Libertarians into the mix. But just a few. The Libertarian Party calls for radical cuts in government far beyond what you want. Think of a tub of cold bathwater. To get it warm enough to be comfortable, you can add scalding hot water to bring the temperature up to ideal.

Approximately 10% of the takers of this quiz scored in this area, 36% for all within the centrist circle. "

Wow! I guess thats pretty much right on. Except for corruption I think the foundation of our government is about as solid as can be. I can't stand to see people going into government poor and come out rich. And I can't stand people leveraging the power of government to make themselves and their friends rich. Our current US foreign policy in the Iraq war plays right into those frustrations of mine.

This sucks, im the only one in the country club and everbody else is hugging trees. where are my G.O.P.ers

me and Uncle BIll are the closest thing to right you're gonna get unless Del and String take the quiz

Sorry dude, the right just isn't popular in old school rock. ;)

I used to be pretty right-wing, religion in the government and whatnot, but in the end, I'm just a very capitalistic guy, who embraces religion but doesn't want it to run the country. Ah well, politics sucks anyways :P
