Aenima7988
Any of you guys listen to them? I just started getting into KC and they're pretty damn good. If you haven't heard any of their stuff, youtube a live video for frying pan or frame by frame. if you do listen to them, what albums should i get? i really like their stuff with adrian belew, not so much the other incarnations (does that make me a heathen of a KC fan?) I also ordered Eyes Wide Open so I can't WAIT to watch that

Hermit
Hermit! I never knew! you should have stopped by my King Crimson thread over in Other Bands! You never knew? Does that mean you've never noticed the Fripp quote in my sig? Oh yes indeed,.. Crimson is one of my alltime favorite bands, bro. I've seen em in concert a number of times; my first time was back in the early '80's after "Discipline" and "Beat" had been released; I saw em again shortly after "Three Of A Perfect Pair" was released; and a few more times since then. I've seen Bruford in his band Earthworks a couple of times (I had a nice chat with him a couple years ago after a show at a little jazz club. He told me his days with Crimson are definitely over; said he absolutely loves what he's doing with Earthworks), and have seen him in YES as well; I've seen Trey Gunn apart from Crimson; and I've seen Tony Levin with Crimson, Peter Gabriel, and YES. I've never seen Fripp other than with KC though. I have a few autographed CD's.. Not too long ago I saw the Adrian Belew Power Trio (for the second year in a row). Man-o-man, they freaking jam, dude! If you get a chance to see them.. DO!! They play quite a bit of Crimson material in their set.. and they play it awesome!! anyway.. I'll have to swing by your KC thread for a look-see.. To all things King Crimson! oh,.. btw,.. you might recognize the tribute to KC at the epicenter of my tat.. eh?

I never saw it in your sig, but thats a great quote and I've heard it before WOW never seen a tat that that before! and ya, I see your reference I havent gotten that far in the discography yet, still in the early days and hoping to finish of the 3 albums I need for the whole first era
DoubleNecker
Hermit, the later stuff is pretty good. Discipline is so experimental it's insane. Beat was good too, but I don't think it's got the same amount of power as Discipline. Same goes for Three of a Perfect Pair, although Sleepless is a beast. I have THRAK, but I haven't listened to it yet.
Hermit
. No disrespect intended to you, Aenima, but I've responded to DN's above post in what seems the more-proper place.. in the pre-existing King Crimson thread.. *HERE*. I hope you're not offended and I hope you'll bring your King Crimson enthusiasm to zosodude's KC thread, friend.
