dpat
Ran into this on the web: http://www.inthelight.co.nz/ledzep/lyrichelp.htm I'm quoting the webite: "Corrections to commonly quoted Led Zeppelin lyrics The following are corrections to lyrics you'll find elsewhere on the web for a number of Led Zeppelin songs. The Wanton Song It isn't "Silent Woman in the night you came", it is "Siren moving". This was confirmed by a guy who read it on a lyrics sheet for Plant during the 1995/96 tour. When the Levee Breaks It is "It's got what it takes to make a monkey-man leave his home", not "mountain man". " I can hear the first one, but dagnabbit, it sure sounds like Mountain Main in WTLB. Sunray782
I've always heard "monkey-man" in WTLB. Mountain man didn't really work considering the history of the song. Though "siren moving" is new to me!
eternal light
Robert Plant struggles with lyrics sometimes; often he sings whatever sounds good at the moment. He improvises a lot, but it keeps the words fresh.
