JimmyPageZoSo56
I get updates to all the threads I am am subscribed to by email, so I have your lyrics in my email. They are very moving and very strong. I think you should post them, just with a disclaimer. This is are very, very good. Makes me want to hear the song itself. I have my own lyrics, to, that I will start uploading. One set of my own lyrics I've already posted: I'm talking about my rewrite of Nobody's Fault but Mine. I believe I posted it in the Pet Peeves thread, but I can't quite remember... Anyways, I'll start posting my lyrics when I see more people post their's. And thanks again, Gainesbarre. And remember, JimmyPageZoSo56, you can post your lyrics. just start off with a disclaimer. And finally, I need to add a copyright disclaimer because this thread is "borrowed" ( ) from another forum, but that thread had to be closed because someone stole the lyrics of a member and made a song out of it, causing a bit of a copyright battle (thankfully, the thief lost, and quickly, but there you go). So, a copyright disclaimer: All the lyrics above and below this post have been copyrighted by the poster of those lyrics, and you may not use the lyrics without their direct permission. I will repeat this on every page, just to be sure. And making that statement does help, BTW... at least in America. I haven't seen this thread in a long time. I don't even remember the song I posted. Anyway, heres on I am still working on. Machine Gun On their way over there, Eat your food, yea On their way over there, Check your stuff before you get there He checks his ammo, Machine gun in his hand, Got buttered toast in the one, Eats with the one, gun in the other Dont lose it with the others Chorus Oh machine gun! Tearing my body apart! Machine gun! Sends my body to the ground.
babybluejeans
everyone's lyrics are really good, they move me. you can feel it! I just wanted to say that the lyrics I post here on the LZ Forum were, at one time or another, at some point or another in them, inspired by Led Zep so it's ok that they kinda belong here. thanks. On Whispering Winds ©2009 Diane H. ARR They warn me love can be excessive, that it's not love if it possesses, wearing down slippery defenses, you awaken my visceral senses. Swirl in and out of my destiny, the muse falls into the euphony, I float endlessly in harmony, revolving, evolving cosmogony. The stars dazzle the wave of the night, it seems the moon has had such a fright, the fanfare courts the sun at daylight, sky disc worshipers hide their eyes from light. A band of root nexus unfastens, placed with ornamental enchasen, those ardurous hasten to listen, but the surrendered ones are unshaken. I once trembled in musical score, then travelled up through grayness and more, joyful Spring my Soul's love at the core, reticent, teacher took not to explore. I've been the Fool's Leap in the Tarot, birth and rebirth the Runes Berkano, I'm not your queen, your not my king, it's true, but the essence of their love will come through. Take me there, in your capacity, conscious heart True Self's veracity, realms on whispering winds velocity slow. I await your sound sagacity. babybluejeans
♫ Freedom (Cosmic Child) ©2009 Diane H. ARR My mind is out here in the wild, afloat intended cosmic child, but not knowing and unsure, scared moments I'm not anchored, body mind and soul metaphored, I'm not prepared for what's in store. To assert my independence, once required my attendance, material dependence, now I have made my decree, sword of light won my spirit free, but between fulsome and empty. My mind says 'now let yourself go', I surrender to 'let it flow', my heartfelt is yearning so, for the promise that takes hold, breathless that claims my oversoul, phasing in and out of self-control. Freedom is insecurity, wandering in obscurity, so, in seeking the safety, I distanced from the freeity, there’s nothing to hold on to me, wond’ring if I’d made the right plea. I fly to your polarity, could I bother momentar'ly, to get my bearings clearly where one must go fearlessly, I might find if you stand by me, the freedom I hold so dearly. Pass by you in the zero zone, you, my polarity lodestone, grasp emotional undertone, can't achieve oneness alone, come to music improv Freedome, where bohemian sets the tone, in time we'll take off on our own. note: "freedome.co.uk" are events in Glastonbury and Somerset Freedome is a bohemian jamming space for musical improvisatio, talent not required! Nathan
I just wrote this today for a lyric-less song I wrote about a month ago. These lyrics are based on a conversation I had with a hypocrite... they preach tolerance, and yet are extremely intolerant to anyone who doesn't think like they do: Middle Man Well I know I make you scream I make you cry I know you hate the Person I am I'm not gonna change Just for you You can't make me be Who I don't want to be Can't you let me Sit right in the middle Yeah Yes I like to stereotype I like to hate on everyone Well I'm a bigot, I'm a racist I'm a sexist, I'm a hater I hate you as much as I hate me, yeah Can't you let me Sit right in the middle Don't wanna be predictable Like you (guitar solo) Don't you see that You're the hypocrite Can't you see that You're the one I hate You're the one who Preaches tolerance And yet you can't Tolerate anyone who thinks Differently from you Can't you let me sit right in the middle Yeah Just let me be me Yeah Woah Hey (Hevenstone Records © 2009)

A progression of words that rhyme with "intolerance", like "indifference", "significance" and "magnificence" is needed to bring the point home. Now get out of my sight. Nathan
A new song I just wrote. I haven't decided on a key, yet, but this is a slow-to-mid-tempo 12-bar swinging blues (think Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Texas Flood"). A quick warning: if you believe that the USA is the greatest free-market country on God's 6,000-year-old created Earth, and you will defend that belief with your gun, then you may not want to read any further... ------------------------------------------- USA Blues Well I live in a strange country Strange folks all around me Yes I live in a strange country Strange folks all around me You know I love the USA But sometimes she makes me weep We're a free market society Money trumps human life Oh we're a free market society Money trumps human life If the money ain't in it We'll just leave 'em to die (1st guitar solo) Yeah alcohol and tobacco Kill thousands of people each day Well alcohol and tobacco Kill thousands of people each day Marijuana ain't killed no one But you can't use it anyway We got a high gunshot rate And yet we love our guns Yeah we got a high gunshot rate And yet we love our guns But there ain't no connection And you'd be a fool and a communist to make one (2nd guitar solo) We're the most religious country In the developed world Yeah we're the most religious country In the developed world Yes we got so much knowledge But superstition keeps us down Well the rest of the developed world Has accepted Evolution (and Natural Selection) Yeah the rest of the developed world Has accepted Evolution (and the Big Bang) Yet the US has got stupid people Who still believe in Young Earth Creation Well I live in a strange country Weird folks all around me Yes I live in a strange country Odd folks all around me You know I love the USA But sometimes She makes me weep (turn-around; end) -------------------------------------------
