zilch.

i must add that hurricane katrina hit 2days before the hard rock would grand open here. remnants of memoribilia were found on the beach for months afterward, including one of johnny cash's early guitars. no zep stuff. i looked.

but i'm working on 'em! i figure if i lose $60-70 thousand the rest of this year, i can demand a zeppelin wall!

I know Katrina didn't affect the Quarter too much, but I haven't been to the New Orleans location in a while to see if Jimmy's Les Paul was still hanging up there.

We were in Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands, and my wife insisted we eat at the Hard Rock in the main part of town. I'm not into chain restaurants or gimmicks, but eventually gave in. One corner where we sat had about 4 feet of wall covered with Zep stuff, which kind of made up for the crappy food and music they were playing. She has pictures of me doing a "Waynes World" homage to pieces of Bonzo's drum set, and a tongue flick in front of a KISS guitar that looks like an axe (by the bar). Sorry I'm inept at getting these posted here - check back in a few decades, though...

I TOUCHED the amber coloured Vistalite drum when it was in DC. I was thrilled I have a picture of it somewhere. There was a framed Earl's Court '75 poster and a few signed framed photos.

My wife would enjoy that room, but I might be intimidated. Time for a rolled up sock in the jeans?

Has anyone here been to the Hard Rock in London recently? When I was there about 10 years ago, they had a white suit that Jimmy wore when he was in The Yardbirds. I was amazed at how small it was, but then I think that about virtually all the rock star clothing I've seen. The Rock Circus exhibit at Piccadilly has/had a pair of Eric Clapton's jeans that I swear an anorexic 12-year old girl would have trouble squeezing into...

I can't remember which Hard Rock it was that I saw Jimmy's double neck Gibson SG, and a contract for a Led Zeppelin concert.

P.S. Hard Rock San Diego has the Maroon Ibanez double-neck guitar used by Jimmy during Led Zeppelin's 1975 tour, according to their web site.

Actually, there's a display containing John Bonham's drumsticks in the Hard Rock-Biloxi. It's in the first display on the right when you get out of the elevators (the same display with stuff from Steven Tyler, George Harrison and Elton John). I haven't seen anything else Zep-related in there. But speaking of Katrina, there's a Dimebag Darrell Dean guitar that was recovered from the muck after Katrina nearly destroyed the place. It's at the entrance of the restaurant section.

Last June I went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls, Canada. Above the bar there were guitars & basses hanging up. One caught my eye right away- it was a bass (sorry musicians don't know the model) of Jonesy's, with his symbol on it! But then I looked at the plaque next to it- and didn't know whether I should be more angry or astounded...

It said:

PAUL JONES, Led Zeppelin

Saw Page at the New Orleans Municipal Auditorium in 1988. Afterwards at the Hard Rock I met John Miles and Jason Bonham. Miles told me Page would be there shortly, but I wouldnt. LOL!!

It seems plausible. They were entering a two-week break following that concert and

New Orleans had become a bit of a Page stomping ground in the mid-80s.

Hi, this is my first time posting and I'm not quite sure if I'm doing this right. Anyway I saw John Bonham's suit at the Hard Rock in New York. Got a few pictures maybe they will upload.

Hi KCMae, would that be the white suit Bonzo purchased from Granny Takes A Trip?

Edit: I surfed the New York Hard Rock site and confirmed that it is:

John Bonham - Led Zeppelin

A suit ordered by John at "Granny Takes A Trip" in London on November 28, 1979. John wore the suit on stage. Also displayed is the original receipt from Granny's with all of the measurements and directions to make the suit.

'The Vault' owned by and opposite the Hard rock Cafe in London, there is a Jimmy Page Les Paul about two months ago. I'll load up my pics when i get a chance. Also a Jeff Beck Telecaster that had been loaned to Jimmy, and apparently Jeff painted his name on the back once he finally got it back off Jimmy.

Steve, or others who know too much, can you clear this story up for me as the vault guide was not the most knowledgeable. Cheers.

I remember that night.....I was there. Jimmy did turn up at the Hard Rock after the show. Later on he got a round of applause from the diners as he left with Patricia.

I've only ever been to one Hard Rock Cafe: Niagra Falls, Canada. They had once (although not anymore unfortunately) a framed LP of Houses signed by all 3 surviving members! I only regret I didn't have a camera to get a pic when I had the chance.

In August 1965 Jeff did give his old Telecaster to Jimmy just before he left for a North American tour with The Yardbirds. I heard it was given as a gift, nonetheless it seems Jeff may have kindly asked down the line to return it. It wouldn't have been Jeff's first change of heart or mind. There is of course the possibility the guitar in the Hard Rock

vault is a different Telecaster than this one. :)
