Dancin'Days
I think everyone knows someone that is tone deaf and doesn't know it. Well, I know it! It sucks to love music so much and not to be able to express yourself with it. I have always wanted to do something in music but I have never had any talent what so ever. Tried to learn guitar but that didn't work. Hell, I can't even whistle in tune , so, I find myself singing like a bird, in my car, when I'm alone and nowhere else. Anybody understand where I'm coming from?
lucyinthesky
I totally understand you! Though I'm kind of musically gifted and play several instruments, but there is NOTHING better than sing along a great song. Sometimes I even don't know the lyrics and my voice is not spectacular... I can't stand people who tell you to shut up! Don't mind how it sonds, dancing days! Singing is the best thing to do, may you be gifted or not, WTF! PS WEEKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEND!!! Footsteps of Dawn
Same here. I can play guitar and piano halfway decently, but umm...my talents don't exactly extend to my voice, heh. I do love to sing in the car, though (when I'm by myself). I'll totally rock out even when I'm at a stoplight...I don't care if people look at me weird, as long as they can't hear me, haha. Jarlaxle 56
Anyone can get good at an instrument, you just have to practice...
lzfan715
I am a terrible singer, but I love singing. I sing all the time. I can totally relate, most people are like that.
~tangerine~
I'll admit i can't sing. But i also love to sing in the car, and pretty damn loud! My daughter loves to sing, and she seems to carry a tune pretty well. I'm hoping she will be musical. Planning on getting her some kind of music lessons next year. I thought violin, but she has a knack for piano.
MHD
I've always said if I had the gift of one talent, it would be that I could sing...preferably like Ann & Nancy Wilson or Deborah Bonham My little fantasy has always been to front a rock band...but as I'm such a terrible singer, it's always going to remain a pipe dream! But hey, I can do a basic drum beat, so all is not lost

I'd settle for Stevie Nicks or Christine McVie, or any of the likes, but I'm not going to lie about it I'd love to sound like Janis. I'm plenty loud like Janis is, I don't just don't sound good. Dancin'Days
Anyone can get good at an instrument, you just have to practice... Not if you don't have rythem! Been there tried that.
lucyinthesky
Not if you don't have rythem! Been there tried that. Try it with the rythym guitar. That is really easy stuff. And the best is: you can sing along REALLY out of tune and everybody will join you. Believe me. I tried.
eagle87
Everyone can play some instrument. Some people have more talent... but that doesn't mean that you can't do it. Keep trying. If you want, you can. It's all in your mind... If the Guitar is to hard for you, try with the Bass, Drumms, Piano, harmonica, etc...
