Bingo
I don't have a favourite, too many different styles to narrow it down, just like musical groups. What I've been doing lately is putting a song and an artist together....here's some examples. Jerry Garcia/Vincent Van Gogh Grateful Dead/Salvador Dali Rolling Stones/Wasilly Kandinsky https://vimeo.com/54485647 Jimi Hendrix/Josephine Wall https://vimeo.com/53724629 Edited December 6, 2012 by Bingo

reswati
Don't know if an airbrush artist is also regarded as being a painter.....anyway. H.R. Giger, the guy who designed Ridley Scott's Alien is one of my favorites. How morbid can ya get?

Shadecatcher
Many artists over many disciplines and styles for their impact at different points in my artistic endeavors. Fibre art and medieval tapestry holds a special place in my heart as textiles was my major. When I was around 13 I discovered Beardsley and sat up many nights learning pen and ink technique. I love Rothko for his palate studies and ability to channel emotion with such impact.

Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
It is the Pre-Raphaelite style of painting which always captures my heart. I also like any other kind of art from the Victorian era. The following is a list of some of my favourite Pre-Raphaelite paintings: Waterhouse - St. Cecilia Waterhouse - The Lady of Shalott Waterhouse - Lamia Rossetti - The Beloved Rossetti - Lady Lilith Millais - Mariana Couldn't possibly name all of my favourite Pre-Raphaelite paintings, as it is a pretty gigantic list!!
