Dzldoc
Only one... FREE BIRD - Lynyrd Skynyrd It has the perfect structure: melodic intro, emotional lyrics, frantic build up and a very intense and climactic long guitar solo. One word: PERFECT. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PENBU3lrpE Excellent choice! AMAZONIC you're welcome in the southland any time! AMAZONIC
Excellent choice! AMAZONIC you're welcome in the southland any time! Fly High Freebird Thanks, Dzldoc! I didn't want to name a LZ song and this one has always been my alltime perfect rock song. These guys were an amazing band with such good musicians and men. It is so unfortunate that it ended that way...

Xtazy
Define "Perfect Rock Song". This is starting to look like a "Your favorite songs" thread, IMO. Anyway, if I were to chose a song, it would be "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan. And probably "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. And my third choice would be "Nothing else matters" by Metallica. Other songs: Ramblin' Man (Allman Brothers Band), Layla (Eric Clapton), Born Under a Bad Sign (Albert King), The Thrill is Gone (BB King), Wind of Change (Scorpions), All Along the Watchtower (Jimi Hendrix). And a special mention to Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry. (And of course, many Zepp songs.)
