Even though i don't need to hear STH for a few years, i'd say that it is THE perfect song. There is a reason why it's the most requested radio song of all time....It's perfect.

My other contenders would span the length of the golden gate bridge so i won't bother. Pretty sure most will be covered here before the thread shrivels up.

Check out the "Fly Jefferson Airplane" DVD live rooftop performance of "House at Pooneil Corners", and let us know who you think was an unexpected influence of early heavy metal? The vocal interplay, and furious guitar and bass work are absolutely sick. I found this at my local library, believe it or not...
