I know a few possibles like Dazed and Confused went roughly 41:00 in Seattle 75, No Quarter went 30:00 at the L.A. Forum 6/21/77, and Moby Dick was around 40 minutes at The Earl's Court. I have a bootleg from MSG in '77 about a week before the forum show and the no quarter always goes a half hour on it. I'm pretty sure No Quarter clocked in at just under a half hour, still shorter than the Dazed from the movie. So then by June it had become a little longer? As far as I've been able to find, the longest version of Dazed is the 29:33 from the original Song Remains the Same double album. The Earl's Court Dazed (which I still have) is 27 minutes or so ... Dazed was still longer than NQ in '75. which, if No Quarter became longer in '77 would make it their longest live track. Moby Dick 40 mins? Perhaps a legend? The broken finger had a lot of things rearranged that tour. I'm looking through torrent downloads and stuff, and something clocks in at 42:24 from that night. Dazed? If you've heard it, where do the extra 10-15 minutes come in? I'm hoping he didn't take extra long to change tuning before the "Woodstock" section ... Should have explained, but was just wondering about How Many More times from the '75, which was played early in the tour instead of Dazed to spare Page's finger. It seemed like a possibility that maybe they took some of the themes developing in How Many More Times and brought them into Dazed once Page felt up to playing it. Just a thought. It's a mistake to think that every night it was completely improvised - it's not like they freeformed 30 minutes every night. There was a structure to their improv, but there usually small differences from night to night, and over the course of a tour, you can hear the progression. Sorry don't really keep on with online DL's and wouldnt be able to post it here if I did, its a Millard recording though so the sound is exellent. Personally that version may well me my favourite performance of the section as the band really keep the atmosphere well and Plant's just vocalising with "ohhhhhhhh"'s alot of the time rather than trying to fit in lyrics.
