Step-Brothers Movie (Spoilers): Zep related

Recommended Posts

Funny scene where John C. Reily tells his step brother, Will Ferrell, to never touch his drum kit. They get into a huge fight later on so WF screams he's going to rub his testicles on the drum kit and runs upstairs to do so.

"I'm gonna play the real Moby Dick!" he screams with Reily on his heels. I know it sounds lame reading it here but it was very funny in the real deal.

Wolfman, I seem to recall an "Avalon" reference by Reilly, too. Could be Tolkien inspired, but I'd like to think it was another Zep reference B)

there should be more than one and a half references before a thread gets started....

I was just going to edit my boo boo out, but thought I'd instead admit that I don't follow Tolkien much and only assumed that "Avalon" was Tolkien's. From my research I've learned it's not. It's, I think, Arthurian. Since the step brothers were playing with swords, his reference could in fact just be about King Arthur, not Zep.

That was certainly the funniest part of the movie and I was laughing so much that I missed the Moby Dick reference.

HILARIOUS!

I'm so tired of Wil Ferrell, you couldn't drag me to that movie.

I was on that same page, the basketball and figure skating movies sucked but this was one of his good ones, he wasn't playing the same old ron burgandy role to the T in this one. I liked it alot, I'll put it up above Anchorman
