MALMSTEENS FENDER GUITAR

Never played one but I would imaging the scalloped neck would take some getting used to, and you should only get one if you seriously want it for your style of playing - not just because you want to be like Yngwie

I've played with a scalloped neck before, I didn't like it at all.

All players are different though, they're good if you have a light touch with your fretting hand as its very easy to play the notes sharp with a scalloped board.

It makes sweep picking easier, but if you can already sweep pick on a normal guitar, you don't really need a scalloped board, yet if you can't sweep pick, having the scalloped board won't make it any easier to pick up.

I have a Jem 7VWH, yeah, The Steve Vai guitar. It has scalloped frets from 17(or so) up and that really helps for bending and playing those high positions.
