Jimbohoo Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Just wanted to say HI! I live in the South Seattle, Washington area. I just purchased tickets to the Oct. 1st, Plant/Krauss show in Seattle. I've read alot of reviews about this show and I'm a bit apprehensive about it, being a total Zep fan. What do you all think? Quote
GoneFishing Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I think if your a live music preformance lover your going to be plesantly surprised alot of talent on the stage with great vibe and interaction. I've most recently seen the Nashville show after seeing early preformances in Louisville and Knoxville I was pleasantly surprised again the set list had changed they do Led Zeppelin material but in a new way I very much enjoyed its blended well with instrumental eliments that take it to a whole different level more its tribal galic roots at times .....kinda like I've heard John Paul Jones do in the past....but to see Robert Plant actually sing like Elvis at the last show was kinda surreal, Alison Krauss is a beautiful vocalist truely in command of her voice as well as an accomplised violinist and director of the preformance at times TBone does a mean version of Bon Temps Rouler and adds spark to the show ,all around its a great show......Your Long Journey ~ brought me to tears as usual but there was no escaping it this time being smack dab in the middle that songs to close to home for me(my son passed away 4 yrs ago with his father) as is much of the Raising Sand Album if you like the cd and live music you'll love it also Sharon Little Rocks hard great show don't skip the opener she is a breath of freash air Quote
