I think he's going to China primarily because he has never been. The fact someone else is picking up the tab, making all the arrangements and that he gets to plug in and play is icing on the cake. ok i think he would be proud to represent england........you poms are a fairly patriotic lot, and at the same time, i think its a great opportunity for him to promote his own name. he will be seen by a lot of people who wouldnt ordinarily see jimmy, or hear his music. i know i have been telling everyone i know to tune in on sunday night. i think its a win / win. especially for us fans.
