The Pagemeister Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 (edited) Ed Christman of Billboard.com reports that negotiations are underway for GUNS N' ROSES' long-delayed "Chinese Democracy" to come out as an exclusive at one of the big boxes — either Wal-Mart or Best Buy. Negotiations are also ongoing to have conventional record company distribution, a source tells Billboard.com. GUNS N' ROSES is now managed by Irving Azoff's Front Line Management, and Azoff is a well-known proponent of issuing albums exclusively through retailers. He released THE EAGLES' "Long Road Out of Eden" through Wal-Mart, much to the chagrin of other merchants. Read the entire report from Billboard.com. Edited August 15, 2008 by The Pagemeister Quote

SteveAJones Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 A 2008 release of 1998 era music. If you've ever heard that track on the 'End Of Days' film soundtrack you'll know to expect here. Quote
ArmsofAtlas Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I've heard most of the songs, in their newest form, which sounds the most complete. There are some good songs on there, and it sounds like GnR, the overall sound is off. Quote
Ross62 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Thanks for posting Pagemeister. As I take it this one's been in the making now for roughly 12 years,It'd want to be damn good.Axl's day has truly been and went, the guys had their time with "Appetite" and so forth.Probably the only thing the machine has, is to market it so cleverly that we all thunk the Gunners was still hungry................for some market destruction. LedNoodle Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Does anybody actually plan on buying this shit? I love GnR, but this is NOT real GnR. It's a stupid prick and some other dudes behind him. Axl Rose can sing great, but without the other 4 guys, its not GnR. As much as you may hate him, Slash is still a great guitarist, and the rest of them are pretty good, too. Quote
