Live without my Les Paul's sweet singing tone and balls? Never! Live without my Strat's magical middle pickup tone? No way! Just take my hands. I can't decide, and I hope I never have to! huw Posted August 26, 2008 Share Posted August 26, 2008 Well if I said anything other than Les Paul, Evster might spill his beer... For bass I'd pick the Fender Precision over the Jazz. For my reasoning go listen to The Who "Live At Leeds" - Entwistle is using a Precision on that & I've never heard a bass I'd rather sound like. For bass, it's gotta be a Ricky. I don't play bass, but when I listen to Yes, or especially, Spock's Beard, I know that's the one I would want to play.
