I like '77 too, but I still haven't picked a favorite. So my hat's off to the guys in that 'dream live album' thread just for making a damn decision! It can suck being a Libra. It would take me a year to just to pick a SIBLY or something

77' Definitely, for sound! 75' would have been nice to see, esp. since most of the audiences hadn't heard the song before! 8-4-79 for new or casual Zep fans. Bigger, better sound and cool visual.

I'm a Libra....and '77 was the best year to WATCH and LISTEN to Led Zeppelin perform "Kashmir".

No Tie.... '77 was the best.... from this fan's perspective.

Many '75 versions suffer from too much phasing on the drums

I like the feel of the intro from Black Mountain to Kashmir better than the Rain Song before Kashmir. But the actual playing of Kashmir in 75 was probably better so I don't know.

I've been listening to the 07version the most, which is awesome ofcourse. I guess the 77 version was cooler than 75, but it depends on the recording. With some versions, the drums can be too loud and keyboard too thin or too loud...like if the bass keyboard pedals are too loud, can mess up the song.

How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? In my opinion, when ZEPPELIN performed Kashmir during the 1975 World Tour, they tried to make Kashmir sound like the studio version. By the time the 1977 World Tour came around, ZEPPELIN added a little more Hard Rock sound to it. It is also my opinion and in agreement with the majority of you that the 1977 World Tour gave us the best live version of Kashmir ever. However, I would also say that KNEBWORTH 1979, Tour Over Europe 1980 and the 02 Arena on 10 December 2007 gave us some very close seconds of great live versions of Kashmir. ROCK ON!
