Matt Harris Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 "the world's greatest electric guitarist."? I think your YouTube link must be wrong. I don't see Jimmy anywhere in that video. I agree man! He's truly the best guitarist in the world. Quote
Mr.Kite Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Rory Gallagher A very underrated guitarrist. TOP 3 for me. Someone asked Hendrix about what he think about to be the great guitarrist of the world. He asked " I think you should ask Rory Gallagher that...". Rory is a Genius! Quote
tophat Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 "the world's greatest electric guitarist." ...died 38 years ago today. Is Keef dead? Quote
leddy Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 there is value in shredding if appropriate to the context. But so is hitting one note that can cause a tear to fall. That is very true !! and with the multiple posts was that you shred posting Quote
f2walsh Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Jimmy Page is the greatest period. #2 Stevie Ray Vaughan #3 Jimi Hendrix #4 Eric Clapton Quote
Charlotte Sometimes Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I guess how one measures greatness is up to each individual. In my opinion, there are a great many good guitarists that I enjoy, but there are three in a class by themselves - Page, Hendrix and Clapton. And they are all brilliant, just in different ways. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. Quote
