gazz Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 What's with all of this 'holding the arms down by the side' business? Is he just desperately trying not to slip into the 'mike in one hand and other hand off to the right', y'know, the classic Plant pose. He just looks a bit rigid and odd atm.... (this is not a bash, btw!!!!) Quote
Olipticle Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 he looked great! remember the guys not 20 years old any more i dotn expect him to dance but he look perfect the night of the 02. stage moves and all Quote
eternal light Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 (edited) What's with all of this 'holding the arms down by the side' business? If he were touring with or we would not need to ask. Quite frequently they held their arms in an uplifted manner. There was very little of that arms down by the side business for them. In that regard he would have been in excellent company. But alas, they were before his time. Edited October 7, 2008 by eternal light Quote
Knebby Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Oh Jeez. Please bring back the slapface emoticon. Quote

Knebby Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 LOL. Relax, Knebby, just relax a bit... I'm pretty relaxed ta - having a lovely G & T! Its just that when Honey starts spamming- which happens on a regular basis - the only respnse is the slapface. Quote
hot dog Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 What's with all of this 'holding the arms down by the side' business? He'll be doing a 'Riverdance' next! Quote
Adi Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 what did you expect he'll start shakin' his ass or somethin... he's 60 years old.. did you expect him to act like he is in his 20's or somethin' i think a slapface is the right thing to do right now as knebby suggested Quote
eternal light Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Maybe it's better for him to keep his hands by his side. He would seem a little strange trying to sing while he was slapping his face. Quote

Olipticle Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Not at all.....he would look stupid..... Just that the way he stands now looks very odd if you can even move at 60 id be surprised. Quote
gazz Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 if you can even move at 60 id be surprised. Why? Quote
Olipticle Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 age, something you dont seem to understand, did you expect plant to dance around the stage like he use to? if you did your expectations are to high. and should try watching a dvd circa 1970 Quote
Mernie Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 if you can even move at 60 id be surprised. Said like a true teenager. Quote
Kat24 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Said like a true teenager. Haha so, very true . Quote
ninelives Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) Not at all.....he would look stupid..... Just that the way he stands now looks very odd I don't see anything odd about how he stands. I saw several shows on this tour and while he's not dancing around as much as he did with Strange Sensation (different style of music), he isn't always just standing there and he's moving about - just in a different way that would make more sense for the music he and Alison are performing. maven2blue Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 He's got the moves in this video. Sort of...................... Quote
Aquamarine Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 60 isn't decrepit, you know, people are perfectly capable of dancing at that age if they feel like it! Honestly . . . Quote
Roxie Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Regarding stage moves, there's a fine line when it comes to dancing. What worked well at 20, may not necessarily bode as well when you're 60. I think it's safe to assume that Robert is well aware of this fact. Quote
Ronniedawg Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Alison is tiring him out....and not on stage either. Quote
Knebby Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Alison is tiring him out....and not on stage either. Alison has a boyfriend and his name isn't Robert. Quote
Vega Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Alison is tiring him out....and not on stage either. LOL, are you serious? I always thought it was Robert who got Alison tired by his moves. I would like to see her move around a bit too! And, yes, it was confirmed lately that Trixie does have a "not Robert" boyfriend :-) Quote
