imPLANTed
Chinese Democracy is a thinking man's rock epic. The soundscape is powerful, the lyrics very engaging and sometimes bittersweet. Axl's refusal to participate in a promotional campaign the album deserved consigned it to commercial failure, but it's unquestionably an artistic triumph. I have to admit, Steve, you put into words what I failed to. Very well said. Thank you.
jimmie ray
Without Duff, Slash, and Izzy, the singer is just that - a singer, who can write interesting lyrics from time to time and maybe come up with an interesting vocal approach, but he doesn't have the music or the vibe I hadn't heard Duff McKagan mentioned much - but this guy can really play, and was a big reason why many of their songs moved along so fluidly.
