I would have thought that there were many expressions that were worse than these... and especially if you include no. 8 at all. "Absolutely" ..... The French say "absolument" all the time. Is that bad French then? Why would it be a bad expression in English? Yeah, why is "absolutely" so bad? Do English people say it a lot more than Americans do? Our big problem is with "totally," so maybe the ubiquity of "totally" here has made "absolutely" more rare... Hmm. Haha, funny you should mention "absolument." What drives me nuts in French is a synonym of that word: "Tout à fait." My teacher says that allll the time. Sometimes she even gets in a double or triple "tout à fait! tout à fait!!!" in.
