But at the same time, why would they sacrifice their public image of the "helpless victim" only to go down with the rest of the rats on the sinking ship? With Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, a house majority and congress majority who will probably go along with any legislation he demands who needs the republicans, right. While I'm still hopeful, like everyone should be, and optimistic about Obama; Pelosi, Reid and alot of the Democrats should be burned at the stake for not doing a damn thing but fancy-worded press conferences since being elected. Bush could speak coherently without a teleprompter and rattle off statistics like Slick Willie, whereas O has an unnerving ability to umm & ahh in a manner as irritating as lip smacking, a quality Bill Clinton had to learn to undo for his later State of the Union addresses). That being said, W the Uniter was a divider and lacked the moral compass or intellectual curiosity to lead beyond Texas (early or later on his his presidency).
