Matt Harris
hmmm... Well, I'm waiting for the first thing to learn Thank you But what's really wonderful is that here I can meet people from your "older generation", who know what are such groups as Led Zeppelin. In my real life I see them too rarely, because you know - they are children of USSR where it was very hard to get CDs of foreign rock groups. And I find it a little sad because people who listen to such great music are usually very interesting to talk with. And, unfortunately, my English is very far from excellent yet. The biggest problems are phrasal verbs and idioms so I can't always understand what speaker means by one or other phrase я у нас тоже его афишу недавно видела, но не ходила. зато была в этом году на Скорпах (тоже на халяву) и на Дип Перпл уже второй раз. а ты в каком городе живешь? Hey Matt! You're really cool if you play guitar well in ten! I'm only learning it and must say that's not such easy as I thought. Thanks and welcome to the forums! lzfan715
Christine, it's wonderful to meet a 15-year-old Ukrainian Zep and blues lover! Does my heart good. And your English is already excellent, but Alicia's a good source of help. (I'm one of the older generation, glad to see the torch is being passed.) Thanks so much Aqua! DoubleNecker
really? Tell me when you've finished making that test! When did the Canterbury Scene start? What IS the Canterbury Scene? When did Klaus Schulze's Irrlicht come out? How long was it before Peter Green put out another album after his (debut-ish) in 1970? What was the last song that Joy Division did before Ian Curtis's untimely departure (this is also one, how did he go?) What country does Hanatrash come from? What is seen as the breakthrough jazz fusion album from 1969/70? When did Tago Mago come out? How many albums did Neu! come out with? Ok. That's enough for now. DoubleNecker
Don't you think that all the answers can be found in internet? They can, BUT if he "knows everything" then he wouldn't need the net. Use of Wikipedia or Google or whatever in answering the questions is an automatic disqualification and "Know It All Card" is taken away. I need to go back to bed. Jarlaxle 56
O.K, maybe most things about music Sorry to break it to you, but you don't know much about music. And I'm not trying to be an asshole here, you just have to understand that you're not very old and don't really know much about music beyond popular rock stuff. There are whole different worlds of music beyond what most people listen to, and most people have no idea they exist.

Hey Matt! You're really cool if you play guitar well in ten! I'm only learning it and must say that's not such easy as I thought. Hi, Tina! Welcome here! And I think that after a little practicing I would be able maybe talk to you in Russian (I´m 43, from Czech republic and I have learned Russian for about 10 years - we all from the socialistic countries have learned) and it was quite easy for me, because it is very similar to the Czech language, only that we don´t write in the "azbuka" . I must install it on my computer and then I will try it And when I see your avatar, I would say you love Jimmy . I love him madly I know LZ since I was 16, I had their first album on vinyl back then. But I´m a huge LZ maniac just since April. They are the greatest- I like the old music better than the new- it doesn´t it to me! Cool that you are here!
