JACK WHITE

hmm...

I like Jack White a lot.

He could play guitar, yes, but I thought they had someone already to do that.

Right? :D

As for vocals, hard to say if his vocal style meshes with Zeppelin.

I love all his work but I don't think it matches.

It would sure as hell be interesting though.

I'd pay to see that.

I don't think the suggestion will go down well around here.

Brace for impact!

Well, I'd love to see him and Jimmy work together at some point, but not in this band (the one JP/JPJ/JB are supposedly forming that isn't going to be called Zeppelin). He's got too much of his own musical identity to play other people's music exclusively. (He's been suggested numerous times on here, btw.)

I'm in agreement as well with most of you. I think it would be great if Jimmy decides to work with Jack White. But, I don't think he is the best choice for a singer on this new project of Jimmy's. Maybe something else. Unless they decide to use various singers for a new album, than that would be ok. If that was done, than who they take out on the road with them would be another thing.

i love him, but no.

and the bond song he was involved with, with alicia keys, sucks.

they make no sense together, and it didn't even have his sound to it.

must have been involved for the paycheck

I respect your opinion on the quality of the track (even though I liked it), but to say it makes no sense and didn't have his sound to it are completely off the mark. That couldn't have sounded more like a White Stripes song, and there's no reason why Alicia Keys can't work successfully with Jack White.

Yeah, I liked the Bond track and it has got Jack White all over it. I like Alicias keys as well (pun intended).

Regarding him fronting a Zep version, whatever, I couldn't care less... If I had any saying about a Zep reunion, there would be no reunion uless John is avalible.

It wasn't supposed to sounds like a white stripes song. It was supposed to sounds like a bond theme. Notice every bond song has a certain sounds to it, structuring ect...

Which is why it was so horrible. Listen to the White Stripes if you want to hear the white stripes.

And they didn't mesh well. Which means, they didn't mesh well.
