Laughter Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Greatest news to ever hear. Well, other than possibly a DVD... with tickets to their US tour... and a lifetime supply of eggnog (man I love eggnog). Quote
SteveAJones Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 Greatest news to ever hear. Well, other than possibly a DVD... with tickets to their US tour... and a lifetime supply of eggnog (man I love eggnog). Just to clarify, the station is doing their morning show live from London. They DO NOT have the rights to air the concert. I for one am hoping someone will get the rights, but it doesn't look promising. Quote
guitarmy Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 what time is 6-9am eastern, in london? Quote
SteveAJones Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 (edited) what time is 6-9am eastern, in london? If I'm not mistaken London is EST + 6 hours. So Noon to 3pm in London. These are the same two radio personalities who interviewed Robert Plant when he visited the GM World Headquarters in Detroit while on tour with The Who in Aug 2002. Perhaps they will get an exclusive interview with someone directly connected to the gig? That's a lot of money for a radio station to lay out on a morning show program. I don't know if you'd want trade for that! Quote

Kissandra Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 You know, more "selfish" than them just doing one show (as Jimmy's said) is not allowing it to be aired anywhere so everyone who wants to can hear it Quote

I don't know if you'd want trade for that! I'm a completist, so yes. Besides, they're going all that way to get their Zep on. I'm sure they'll play lots of Zep, maybe speak to people involved or just going to the gig. Quote

The Rover Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 (edited) Carol Miller of Q104.3 (NYC Radio) confirmed last night she will be doing live updates from London on the Q. Guess she is going after all. WAXO DJ Carol Miller The Announcement: Today, November 30th 2007, I received the most extraordinary news in the Entire History of the Evolution of Mankind: Our Q program director, Bob Buchmann, sent me an e-mail saying he is sending me to London for the Zeppelin concert, so I can do some live reports on the radio for Q1043 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll be hearing all about it.....don't touch that dial........................................ *************************************** But, what I want to know.... is Carol going to be inside the O2 Arena to see the Reunion Show ? ? ? **************************************** Carol's Previous Blog at the end of October, before she knew she was travelling to London: Yes...it's been a while between blogs... Wednesday 10-31-2007 12:09am ET ....but I've been concentrating on the daily 'Get the Led Out'........ so considering I write and record it, well, some folks have asked if I'm going to the big reunion concert....and the answer is....no. There was indeed a slight possibility of maybe getting a ticket through the job.... and of course, would love to see the show!... but....that's a very expensive trip overseas for just a couple of days. Especially because.....yes, I think they'll do more than this one show, and I think they'll play here.... and lots of people in the music industry have been hinting at this. Robert Plant recently said that he personally would have to be 'knocked out' by the Zep performance, and I bet they get such a rush from the show and the audience.....they'll find a way to repeat it. If you're going, have a great time....as of now, well, I have my memories of the Garden... Edited December 2, 2007 by The Rover Quote
ZosoZosoZosoZoso Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Okay we all no theres no official broadcast... But my good friend, Professor Falsehopes says: I'm thinking that its very likely that the soundboard is fed wirelessly. Someone just outside the arena might be able to get the signal. We used to get great Grateful Dead tapes that way in the parking lot when we were "locked out " of concerts.. Or,as it has it has been suggested on another post, a nice clean signal might be generously provided on some FM frequency that can be picked up up to a mile away , in any case, take heart, i'll betcha we at least get the audio same day.. Same day! If not live, same day! Thanks Professor. Quote
Mattmc1973 Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 OK, I was listening to WCSX today, and the DJ said that after the concert on Monday, they'll be rebroadcasting it. Can this be true? And this is on their website: Don't miss our Led Zeppelin Concert Replay on Monday starting at 4:30pm! Quote
euro Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) OK, I was listening to WCSX today, and the DJ said that after the concert on Monday, they'll be rebroadcasting it. Can this be true? And this is on their website: Don't miss our Led Zeppelin Concert Replay on Monday starting at 4:30pm! USA radio station broadcasting performance afterwards? Unlikely because they would first have to record it illegally then replay it illegally and probably risk losing their broadcasting licence let alone being sued. They will just play the songs in the same sequence as presented in the concert not the actual concert itself. Edited December 9, 2007 by euro Quote
