Mary Hartman
The Skinny On Britney Star talks about openly about her life in new MTV documentary... Britney Spears is one the most talked about singers on the planet and her new documentary, Britney: For the Record premiered stateside yesterday night (U.S). Britney decided to film the documentary on the eve of the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles, with the main purpose of the documentary to set the record straight. In a shocking but honest documentary, Spears talks about how the break-up from Justin Timberlake left her lost and confused. Spears, also talked about the split with Kevin Federline, telling MTV it was much worse as there were kids involved, and how things deteriorated when Kevin started working on his own album. And on marriage…"I think I married for the wrong reasons." Britney says she got hitched for "the idea of everything." It's clear what is important to Britney now though: "At this point I have two precious boys and my job. Those are the two things that have kept me going and kept me strong for the past two years," So the question many people want to ask is, why did Britney shave her head, well there is no great story behind this, according to the star a lot of people do it and its normal: "People shave their heads all the time," she also stressed that it was not because she was going crazy! In a powerful documentary, it's clear that the young star has been through troubled times but at least Britney Spears is not there sulking, according to the star, it's all about choice: "I choose to be a happy person. I choose not to be bitter." Look out for Britney's new album Circus, released this week. Knebby
She was on X Factor on saturday and was absolutely shite. She mimed really badly to her crap new single and "danced" like she was taking a therapeutic stroll. http://uk.youtube.com/watch? v=phQQAo9ujMM They still acted like they had just had a visit from God. Sometimes I despair of the "celebrity culture" This is much better http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WVypcUtVgA0

Any appearances I've seen of Britney (including a clip of her appearing at Madonna's concert recently) she looks incredibly uncomfortable to be on stage. They've been touting her comeback here in the states like the second coming of the Messiah. I despair the whole celeb culture too. I just want to scream - what about the music! Virginia
I am not a fan of Britney, but I am rooting for her to get her act together; for her kids' sake if nothing else. I was really worried about her there for a while; it's awful to watch someone fall like she did.
caroselambra~
i absolutely agree she has that mystery ingredient that separates her from other stars i was surprised at her decision to appear on a tin pot show like x-factor
Electrophile
Everyone that knows me knows that I can't stand her music, so I shun any and all programs that feature it. That said, I was rather intrigued by her "documentary" that was on MTV last night, so I watched 5 minutes of it. She's as vapid and dense as fog. There's just no depth there at all. She's like music's Sarah Palin.
caroselambra~
...but important enough for us to be debating her here! i dont care for her music either - but admire the way she has the media clasped in her hand remember there's no such thing as bad publicity

Yep. Britney would probably be facing the wrong way,and just end up hitting the floor. OTOH,I'd probably tell Keith to just jump, because that wouldn't kill him either. Mary Hartman
She can't choose what she eats, drive her car or leave home alone - and she has TWO chaperones on every date. As Britney Spears mimes her way through a shambolic X Factor display, guess who's pulling the strings all over again Full story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...s-X-Factor.html For those who don't know, Dailymail is kind of like The National Enquirer in America. The articles are catty, odd but really quite a seller. Britney parodies are all over nowadays. Womanizer parody

Mary Hartman
The fact that she's still relevant to society just shows how far the country has fallen There are kids that like Britney and many hope she can get her shitskies together. But then one also wonders how much of it's for propoganda. Does Britney own the machine or does the machine own us all? Then there are people who trounce everything they come across because they are unhappy in their own personal lives too.
