Jarlaxle 56
King Crimson are amazing, Tangerine Dream are also very good. I highly recommend you check out the albums "Red" and "In The Court of The Crimson King" by KC.
ArmsofAtlas
Get Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins, as well. Gish is solid, as is Mellencollie and the Infinite Sadness, but SD is the balls.

Virginia
There are lots; sometimes I read threads here on other bands, or pick up a copy of "Rolling Stone" and I have no clue who they are talking about. It's a pretty safe bet that I haven't heard any non-commercial hard or alternative rock band that started in the late 90s or later. Bands like Nickelback notwithstanding. Although I'm pretty with it on hip hop, pop and rap for the same period It's a mom thing.

Shankly
Go for the early stuff by Wishbone Ash - especially 'Argus' - that's an amazing album

JethroTull
Here are two Jethro Tull's you should own. 1. Dot Com from 1999. 2. The Christmas CD from 2004 or 2005. I forgot the year.
danelectro59
Here are two Jethro Tull's you should own. 1. Dot Com from 1999. 2. The Christmas CD from 2004 or 2005. I forgot the year. I like just about anything off of their first 4 albums. This Was - Stand Up - Benefit or Aqualung. Classics all.
