Zepaholic
I think a couple of the songs posted were hits in countries OTHER than USA. Please USA only. Hey bud, i started the thread and i'm posting fron Canad(er) so i'm not shuttin' her down.... p.s. Yeah, most of my entries are not one-hitters, more like 2 1/2 hitters. Terry Jacks is a no-hitter. Swede
I knew somebody wouldn't be happy with my request. Well, at least I wouldn't post a Swedish one hit wonder (unless it was a world wide hit), but I think there's nothing wrong to include a song from the UK charts. Swede
One hit (well maybe two) wonder and the ultimate in 70s cheese http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YO5eAwTnZ40...feature=related Man that was painful. I'm HAPPY to let you all know that Rex Smith never made it to the Swedish charts.

danelectro59
Forgot about this guy I think he's been hit more than once, though. Extra credit for anyone who can figure out wtf he's saying
Aquamarine
Sorry to venture outside the USA, but it's fascinating to see how differently regarded artists are in different countries. (For example, Melanie certainly wasn't a one-hit-wonder in the UK--one of her other hits was Ruby Tuesday, for instance.)

I think it was a pretty big hit in the UK and many European countries. It certainly was here.
ninelives
Really? I think it was a pretty big hit in the UK and many European countries. It certainly was here. I'm in the US - I have to look them up to see how they fared here. Quite possible they had a following and I missed the boat on them. Edited to add - just did a quick search on them- seems they had minor success here and much more so in the UK.
