Hi I'm new to the forum and i thought i'd share this with you. I collect drumsticks and i was wondering if this is a genuine JB drumstick i have had this for about 10 years and i got this from a guy who said he got it from a Zeppelin gig back in 1975. It has JB name in scrolled writing and PROMUCO printed in block capitals. Can anyone give me some info on this stick as the internet is proving to show very little... cheers

Interesting. If it ain't legitimate it's a damn good forgery. Best bet is to compare it to high-res digital photos from that era. Another example (authenticity unconfirmed):

That would be awesome!

+ 1 Yeah i'd love to see those aswell.

Steve, Thanks for posting that pic up of the stick and ticket, is that drumstick yours ?. I'm thinking that the stick is from the same gig as the ticket ?. Do you know the year of the ticket ?. Any more info would be great, it's good to see another stick with the same logo and makers name. I've only ever seen one similar. cheers :)

The photo I posted was from an auction many years ago. It's not my stick. Supposedly,

it was broken during one of their NYC concerts in '75. Now that Beatbox has posted a

set of sticks from Hard Rock Cafe, you can use those images to authenticate yours.

I have a few sets of sticks Michael Lee used while touring with Page/Plant. I've got

some drum heads Jason played on with Bonham and Foreigner. Some of his sticks also.

I will post images of them once I dig them out of the archive.

Thanks beatbo & Zepfan for making the trip down to the Biloxi Hardrock cafe thats well appreciated. Looking at the pics the only difference is that the writing on mine is stamped into the stick 'embossed' and it is in silver writing like a silver foil. Possibley a later/earlier model, but the sticks are the same design including the shape of the tips. Thanks again

Steve i managed to get a few pairs of Michael Lee's sticks from a drum session he did at Gateshead drum centre this was just a few weeks before he sadly died.

my pleasure. steve had actually asked me to do this some time ago, but events conspired against me. my purchase of a 10 plus MP digital camera also helped. the way the sticks are displayed make it difficult to get a really decent picture, but the camera came thru. and yes, bigdan.....a smash and grab was seriously considered....zepfanforever talked me out of it. had YOU been there, we might be a little more help to these boys, aye?
